The networking and professional exchange activities of alumni from the "Journey to Support Women in Leadership" program are not just gatherings, but also create a forum for connecting knowledge, sharing experiences, and spreading the spirit of female leadership in the new era.

On May 27, 2026, at the National Convention Center ( Hanoi ), a networking and professional exchange session for alumni of the Women in Leadership Journey (WILJ ) took place in a warm, open, and inspiring atmosphere.

The program was attended by Ms. Estrellita Boskovi, Acting Development Counsellor, Australian Embassy in Vietnam; Ms. Hoang Nghe Ha and Ms. Dinh Thi Viet Anh - Senior Program Managers, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics ; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dau Huong Nam, Director of the International Cooperation Department, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, along with a large number of WILJ alumni and Australian alumni participating in person and online.

An overview of the networking and professional exchange activities among alumni of the "Journey to Support Women in Leadership" program.

According to the Organizing Committee, the Journey to Support Women in Leadership is supported by the Australian Government through the Vietnam-Australia Center and collaborative initiatives between Vietnam and Australia to enhance leadership capacity for Vietnamese women, promote inclusive leadership environments, and build a network of female leaders, experts, and partner organizations.

Launched in 2017, the program has so far had 7 courses with the participation of 141 female leaders from Party and Government agencies and various other organizations in Vietnam. WILJ is not just a skills training program, but also a starting point for connection, learning, and inspiration, a place where women leaders are empowered to create positive change in their communities.

What makes WILJ special is the spirit of companionship that permeates the entire journey. After the courses, many participants maintain connections, implement community initiatives, support each other in their work, and continue to spread the values ​​of humanistic leadership in various fields.


At the program, Ms. Estrellita Boskovic, Acting Development Counsellor at the Australian Embassy in Vietnam, shared Australia's experiences in ensuring gender equality and empowering women. Ms. Boskovic also highlighted the significance of WILJ, noting that it not only provides training opportunities for female leaders but also, after the program concludes, many participants have committed to engaging in activities, providing support, and working together to reach new heights, creating change in their organizations and communities. Simultaneously, they contribute to bridging the gap between the two countries, fulfilling a shared commitment to inclusive leadership and empowering women to benefit from better outcomes.

Spreading value through sustainable connections.

According to the organizers, in addition to enhancing leadership skills, WILJ also opens up "an inspiring international learning space and a network of dynamic, influential female leaders across various fields." These connections are creating lasting value for the program. Because after each course, what remains is not just knowledge, but also the companionship among women who share the aspiration to create positive change for society.

Ms. Vu Thi Duc, former WIJL 1 student

As a participant in the first WILJ training course, Ms. Vu Thi Duc, currently the Deputy Head of the Training Department at Hoa Binh University, said that participating in WILJ in 2017-2018 was a wonderful journey for her. Through training sessions in Vietnam and Australia, participants like her, who were previously women lacking self-confidence and clear goals, gained self-confidence and strived to improve their knowledge and skills to take on higher leadership positions.

"The time spent participating in the course will always be a valuable asset that will stay with us throughout our lives," affirmed Ms. Vu Thi Duc.

Ms. Nguyen Thuy Chi joined WIJL Batch 7.

For Ms. Nguyen Thuy Chi, a woman with a disability, participating in WILJ's 7th cohort, this has been a journey of learning and growth. Ms. Thuy Chi said that after the course, she was able to join the WILJ community, receive advice and guidance from alumni, and thus make changes, achieve important progress, become more mature, and create new and useful contributions to her own community.

Ms. Chi shared: "The WILJ community has helped me feel stronger, more confident, and no longer alone on my business development journey. In the next phase, I hope there will be even more programs so that we can connect and learn from each other, and make the WILJ community a long-lasting and cohesive network."

Sharing the same sentiment, Ms. Vu Thi Quyen, Director of We-Edit company and a former WILJ 2 participant, shared that this was the first course that helped her improve her leadership skills, gain valuable knowledge and experience, and learn from excellent leaders. She hopes the WILJ community will continue to expand so that female leaders can learn and develop together.

Ms. Duong Thi Hien, former Deputy Head of the Personnel and Organization Department, Central Party Office, shared her thoughts at the program.

After participating in the Journey to Support Women in Leadership, she According to Duong Thi Hien, former Deputy Head of the Personnel and Organization Department of the Central Party Office, the course provided female leaders with instruction and inspiration from experts, focusing on the leadership role of women.

From these values, they have continued to spread inspiration to the community and society, connecting and enhancing the role of female leaders. In the future, it is hoped that WILJ will continue to expand its reach to enhance the capabilities of Vietnamese women, helping them confidently assume leadership roles and promote positive change in their communities.

The Women in Leadership Journey (WILJ) is a key initiative to realize Pillar 3 - "Building Knowledge and Connecting People," within the framework of the Vietnam-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

Launched in 2017, and continuing until May 2026, WILJ has conducted seven training courses, bringing together 141 female leaders from Party and Government agencies and organizations in Vietnam. WILJ is a vivid testament to the Australian Government's unwavering commitment to cooperating with Vietnam to promote gender equality, develop leadership capacity, and protect the rights of women and vulnerable groups.

Beyond simply supporting skill development, the program also opens up an inspiring international learning environment and a network of dynamic and influential female leaders across various fields.
