Practical effectiveness

Observations in residential areas of Thanh Khe ward over the past few days show that activities to support people in accessing digital technology have been implemented systematically and responsibly by youth union members and young people.

Accordingly, the Thanh Khe Ward Youth Union organized a high-intensity campaign involving volunteer youth teams, in coordination with the Ward Police, to assist residents in integrating their driver's licenses, health insurance cards, and other related documents into the VNeID application.

At the support points, with enthusiasm and a sense of responsibility, the youth union members diligently guide people step by step, helping them, especially the elderly, easily access digital services.

In addition, the Ward Youth Union provided training on artificial intelligence (AI) application skills for its members and young people. The program provided general knowledge and guidance on using several AI tools to support learning, work, and Youth Union activities such as content writing, image design, video creation, and information searching and processing.

Similarly, the Tay Giang Commune Youth Union has established 23 community digital technology teams, regularly organizing basic AI training for the secretaries and deputy secretaries of 38 village youth branches and affiliated units. At the same time, it coordinates with local authorities to promote the dissemination of the Party and State's policies, contributing to raising awareness among officials, civil servants, citizens, and business households about the role of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation.

According to Alang Crom, Secretary of the Youth Union of Tay Giang commune, awareness of digital transformation in the area has significantly improved; 100% of officials and civil servants have received basic training on digital transformation and online public services. People are gradually becoming familiar with using smartphones, the VNeID application, online public services, electronic payments, and participating in e-commerce platforms. Administrative procedures are reviewed, standardized, publicly listed, and transparent, creating favorable conditions for people and businesses.

To date, 100% of villages and residential areas in the locality have established Community Digital Technology Teams with the participation of officials, union members, youth, and police forces, acting as a bridge between the government and the people in implementing administrative reform and digital transformation.

Telecommunications and internet infrastructure in Tay Giang commune continues to improve, with 4G coverage reaching 91.3% of villages and residential areas; 17 out of 23 villages now have fiber optic networks. In addition, the Da Nang city's document management and operational control system has been implemented synchronously in 100% of agencies, units, schools, and villages, ensuring seamless connectivity with the city-level and national document exchange system, effectively serving leadership and management work.

Spreading awareness

During Youth Month 2026, the Youth Union branches at all levels in the city proactively implemented many comprehensive activities to participate in digital transformation, closely following the practical requirements of localities and units. Throughout the city, 108 youth volunteer teams were established and effectively maintained, such as "Community Digital Technology Teams" and "Youth Volunteer Teams for Project 06/CP," attracting more than 1,000 Youth Union members and young people to participate.

Teams directly assist citizens in using online public services, installing essential applications, making cashless payments, and accessing digital platforms at public administrative service centers, cultural centers, and residential areas.

In addition, the units have implemented more than 200 activities to disseminate knowledge about digital transformation; organized 150 training courses to improve digital skills for union members and young people, contributing to raising awareness and the ability to apply technology in practice.

Many good models and innovative, effective approaches have been replicated at the grassroots level, such as: "Saturday Volunteer Day to Support Digital Transformation", "Digital Citizen Support Point", "Youth with Market 4.0", "Each Youth Union Member - One Public Service Account", "Model Digital Youth Union Branch"...

According to Le Cong Hung, Secretary of the City Youth Union, young people are the pioneering and core force in digital transformation, capable of quickly accessing and mastering science and technology and spreading digital knowledge in the community.

In reality, youth union members not only proactively apply technology to learning, work, and production, but also actively participate in disseminating information and supporting people in accessing digital platforms and online public services.

Through specific models and activities, the role of youth in promoting digital transformation is increasingly affirmed, contributing to the formation of a force of "digital citizens" in society.

In the coming period, the City Youth Union will continue to promote communication, organize forums and competitions on technology, artificial intelligence, and big data; launch the "Digital Learning" movement, and popularize digital knowledge and skills, as well as safe internet usage skills for young people.

At the same time, effectively implement the "Enhancing Digital Capacity for Vietnamese Youth in the period 2022 - 2030" project, strengthen propaganda on cybersecurity, and promote research and application of technology in practice.

In addition, we encourage union members and young people to propose ideas and initiatives to serve socio-economic development, especially in the fields of AI and digital transformation; and to organize academic playgrounds and awards in science and technology, innovation, enhance exchanges, honor young talents, and support the realization of technological ideas and projects that serve the community.
