Lam Dong Cu Lan Village became a tourist area in 2011 with jeep tours to explore the green forest being a "featured service".
On October 25, the Cu Lan Village tourist area was temporarily suspended from business and service activities after a tourist car was swept away by floodwaters, killing four Koreans. This used to be a popular tourist attraction near Da Lat.
Cu Lan Village is a small village of about 30 hectares located in the middle of the primeval forest at the foot of Lang Biang Mountain, in Suoi Can Hamlet, Lat Commune, Lac Duong District, Lam Dong Province, about 20 km from Da Lat City. From the center of Da Lat, visitors follow the road towards Lang Biang Plateau to reach Cu Lan Village.
Cu Lan Village, located at the foot of Lang Biang Mountain, began welcoming visitors in 2011 and was honored by UNESCO as a "cultural tourist destination worth visiting, contributing to changing the face of tourism in Lam Dong province", according to the Electronic Information Portal of Lac Duong District, Lam Dong. Before temporarily ceasing operations, Cu Lan Village tourist area provided services such as sightseeing, camping, and outdoor activities.
Off-road jeep tour to explore the green forest
On the main website of the Cu Lan Village tourist area, the jeep tour is listed as a "featured service". This tour costs 150,000 VND per person, each vehicle carries a minimum of four people. Tourists who buy the tour will be transported on UAZ (U Oát) vehicles for a distance of more than 8 km, crossing forests, streams and difficult terrain. The cars depart one after another after a few minutes. On the afternoon of October 24, four Korean tourists died while participating in the Cu Lan Village jeep tour. Camping in the woods
Camping and team building activities are also included in the "outstanding services" group here. This resort offers two types of tents for groups of 5 people at 3 million VND per night and for 8 people at 4 million VND per night. The tents are fully equipped with amenities such as wifi, TV, and iron.
According to the tourist area, the tents are set up on a 12,000 m2 lawn surrounded by pine forests and Heart Lake. Overnight campers are free to use other services such as breakfast, jeep tours, free village entrance tickets, and folk games.
Games
In addition to overnight camping, the resort also sells daily tickets for 100,000 VND per person. Visitors can experience games in the village, the game area is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily. Paid games include horse riding at 100,000 VND per lap of the field per person, and archery at 50,000 VND for 10 arrows per person. There is also rafting, an activity that has also been removed from the resort's website.

Sightseeing
The tourist area has places to sightsee, check-in, and learn about the culture of the K'Ho people such as the Xom Thuong gate area, the communal house, the long house, the warrior road, the artifact exhibition house, the house of the Cu Lan guy, Trai Tim lake, and the Chom Hom market selling specialties of the Central Highlands. These places introduce visitors to the story of Cu Lan Village.
The village has existed since the 1960s and is home to the K'Ho ethnic group. The name "Cu Lan" comes from the tree species that grows among the pine forests. This is also the name of the Cu Lan animal.
