Attending were leaders of the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment ; representatives of the Department of Land, Department of Legal Affairs and the Ministry Office.
In compliance with legal regulations on citizen reception, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment organizes regular citizen receptions on all working days of the week. Every month, the Ministry's leaders will directly receive citizens on the last Thursday of the month and conduct ad hoc receptions according to regulations to receive, answer and direct the timely resolution of complaints and denunciations of citizens in the field of Natural Resources and Environment.
At the regular citizen reception in November 2023, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Phuong Hoa and functional units of the Ministry received a round of citizens complaining about land issues.
Specifically, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien ( Bac Giang province) did not agree with Decision No. 1145/QD-CT dated August 17, 2001 of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province and the People's Committee of Bac Giang town (now city) enforced Decision No. 1145/QD-CT, dismantled and moved assets on her land in Tran Phu ward. She requested the local government to assign her a residential land plot in Bai Bay area, Ngo Quyen ward according to the content of Article 2 of Decision No. 1145/QD-CT and compensate her for damages caused by the above-mentioned forced land acquisition.
After listening to citizens' opinions and answering questions and responding to citizens by the Ministry Inspectorate and its affiliated units, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Phuong Hoa said that the leaders of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment always listen and will focus on directing affiliated units to resolve people's petitions and concerns related to the fields of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment according to their authority and legal regulations.
Regarding the case of citizen complaint of Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Phuong Hoa said that it is not under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. The Deputy Minister has requested the specialized unit to guide the citizen to the competent and responsible agencies and units to be resolved in accordance with the regulations and legal procedures for complaints and denunciations.
At the same time, based on Ms. Hien's recommendations at the meeting, the Deputy Minister requested units to review and research and send documents to localities requesting them to organize reviews, verify responses to citizens in accordance with legal regulations.
