Leaders of Thai Nguyen province visit and offer congratulations on the occasion of Buddha's Birthday.

On May 29th, Comrade Trinh Xuan Truong, Member of the Central Committee of the Party and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, along with a delegation from the province, visited and congratulated the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of Thai Nguyen province at Phu Lien Pagoda on the occasion of the Great Buddha's Birthday Celebration, Buddhist Calendar 2570 - Gregorian Calendar 2026.

The delegation included Comrade Do Thi Minh Hoa, Member of the Standing Committee and Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Provincial Party Committee; and representatives from the leadership of several provincial departments and agencies.

On behalf of the provincial leadership, Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Xuan Truong extended best wishes to the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of Thai Nguyen province and all monks, nuns, and Buddhists in the province for a peaceful, joyful, and spiritually fulfilling Vesak season. He also acknowledged and praised the positive contributions of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of Thai Nguyen province in social welfare, charity, and humanitarian work, rural development, participation in patriotic emulation movements and campaigns launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front; and their active efforts in encouraging monks, nuns, and Buddhists to effectively implement the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws, and local regulations.

The comrade emphasized that Thai Nguyen currently has over 200 religious establishments with approximately 150,000 Buddhist followers. This is an important social resource contributing to building cultural life, preserving and promoting spiritual and religious cultural values, and boosting the development of tourism and services in the locality. The involvement of the Buddhist Church plays a very important role in restoring and preserving historical and cultural relics, including structures associated with historical and spiritual values ​​such as the Ly Nam De King's Memorial Site and Huong Ap Pagoda.

Emphasizing that Thai Nguyen is entering a new stage of development with many intertwined opportunities and challenges, the Provincial Party Secretary expressed his hope that the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of Thai Nguyen province would continue to uphold the tradition of "Protecting the nation and ensuring the people's well-being," guiding monks, nuns, and Buddhists to effectively implement the motto "Buddhism - Nation - Socialism," living "a good life and a beautiful faith," working together to build national unity, and contributing to building a more prosperous, beautiful, and civilized Thai Nguyen province.
On behalf of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of Thai Nguyen Province, Venerable Thich Nguyen Thanh, Standing Member of the Central Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Association, Deputy Head of the Central Economic and Financial Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Association, and Head of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of Thai Nguyen Province, respectfully expressed gratitude for the attention and support of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee of Thai Nguyen Province for Buddhist activities in the past. He also affirmed that the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of Thai Nguyen Province will continue to guide monks, nuns, and Buddhists in studying the true Dharma, upholding the dignity of the Association, cultivating spiritual devotion, promoting patriotic traditions, and fostering national unity; actively participating in charitable and social welfare activities, contributing to the development of cultural life and making practical contributions to the overall development of Thai Nguyen Province.
* On the same day, Comrade Nguyen Dang Binh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Thai Nguyen province, and the provincial delegation visited and congratulated the Central Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha. The delegation was received by Venerable Thich Gia Quang, Vice Chairman of the Central Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and Head of the Information and Communication Department of the Central Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha.

At the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Dang Binh extended his best wishes to the Venerable Buddhist dignitaries, monks, nuns, and followers for a peaceful and united Vesak season. He highly appreciated the positive contributions of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha to social welfare work, especially its support for Thai Nguyen province in overcoming the damage caused by Typhoon Matmo at the end of 2025; and also actively propagated and encouraged monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers to uphold the patriotic tradition, stand alongside the nation, and contribute to strengthening the great national unity.

Comrade Nguyen Dang Binh expressed his wish that the Central Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Association would continue to uphold the tradition of "protecting the nation and ensuring the people's well-being," guiding monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers to effectively implement the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws; actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, humanitarian and charitable activities, contributing to the development of the homeland and the country.
Representatives of the Central Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Association respectfully thanked the leaders of Thai Nguyen province for their attention; and affirmed that they will continue to guide monks, nuns, and Buddhists to live "a good life and a virtuous life," making positive contributions to the overall development of the country.
