
The delegation included comrades: Ta Quoc Trung, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Phan Hong An, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; and Nguyen Cong Tam, Deputy Chief of the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

On the Ca Mau province side, the delegation was received by: Mr. Nguyen Ho Hai, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Ho Thanh Thuy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ca Mau province; along with leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, and representatives of leaders of departments and agencies of Ca Mau province.

Comrade Nguyen Ho Hai expressed his pleasure at the visit and New Year greetings from the delegation of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; and sincerely thanked the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City for their affection and concern for Ca Mau province.

Comrade Nguyen Ho Hai stated that Ho Chi Minh City has provided significant support to Ca Mau province in socio -economic development and social welfare, including the province's program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated housing. In addition, Ho Chi Minh City and Ca Mau province have signed cooperation agreements in many areas. The leaders of Ca Mau province and Ho Chi Minh City will soon meet to assess the effectiveness of the cooperation over the past period and plan for the coming years.

Representing Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Dang Minh Thong stated that he was honored to visit Ca Mau province to extend New Year greetings on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026. He also expressed his sincere gratitude for the warm sentiments shown by the leaders of Ca Mau province towards Ho Chi Minh City. Mr. Dang Minh Thong emphasized the deep relationship between Ho Chi Minh City and Ca Mau province, noting that Ho Chi Minh City always accompanies Ca Mau province in its development. He acknowledged and will actively cooperate in addressing the proposals from Ca Mau province. Mr. Dang Minh Thong extended his thanks to the leaders, government, and people of Ca Mau province, wishing them a happy and successful New Year.
On this occasion, Ho Chi Minh City donated 500 million VND to Ca Mau province, including 400 million VND from the Ho Chi Minh City Fund for the Poor and 100 million VND from the Ho Chi Minh City Fund for the Homeland's Islands and Seas - For the Frontline of the Fatherland.

Speaking at the social welfare program and Tet gift-giving event for adopted children of border guard posts and children of the "Helping Children Go to School" program in Luong The Tran commune (Ca Mau province), Comrade Dang Minh Thong emphasized that Ho Chi Minh City always considers social welfare work as its responsibility and expression of affection towards the people of the whole country. Although the gifts may not be of great material value, they contain the sharing and affection of the Party Committee, government, and people of Ho Chi Minh City; hoping to contribute a little more warmth so that the people, officers, soldiers, and children can have a more fulfilling spring season.
“We understand that there are still many struggling families, many officers and soldiers guarding the border and islands day and night, and many children overcoming difficult circumstances to continue their education and nurture their dreams. The perseverance, willpower, and spirit of overcoming difficulties shown by the people, our comrades, and the children are truly commendable and inspire us to work towards a better future,” Comrade Dang Minh Thong acknowledged.
In Luong The Tran commune, Ho Chi Minh City leaders presented 80 gifts to disadvantaged families and families with difficult circumstances in the area; 20 gifts to officers and soldiers (each gift worth 1.5 million VND, including 1.2 million VND in cash and gifts worth 300,000 VND). At the same time, 25 gifts were given to children adopted by border guard posts and children participating in the "Helping Children Go to School" program (each gift worth 2 million VND, including 1.7 million VND in cash and gifts worth 300,000 VND).
