Provincial People's Committee leaders received and worked with the delegation of the Embassy of Finland in Vietnam

At the meeting, the delegation discussed and exchanged on the project proposal, the Finnish public investment support capital policy, the requirements and the next action plan for the project. The project on drainage and wastewater treatment systems for towns aims to improve urban environmental sanitation conditions in the towns of Khanh Hai, Phuoc Dan, and Tan Son through the construction of drainage and wastewater treatment works, gradually perfecting the mechanisms and policies related to the development of the drainage system in the period from 2025 to 2030. The expected investment scale is 2 wastewater pumping stations with a capacity of 5,000 m3/day and night in Phuoc Dan and Khanh Hai towns and a wastewater pumping station with a capacity of 2,000 m3/day and night in Tan Son town. In addition, 17 booster pumping stations and a collection and connection pipeline system will be invested in the localities. Implementation period from 2025 to 2028. The total expected investment of the project is nearly 1,300 billion VND (50,399,036 EURO); of which: Loan capital from the Public Investment Credit Program (PIF) of the Government of Finland is 749,531 billion VND (29,062,866 EURO, accounting for 57.67% of total investment capital) and counterpart capital is 550,259 billion VND (accounting for 42.33%).

Comrade Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the reception and worked with the delegation.

At the working session, the delegation highly appreciated the content of the plan and proposals of the province for the project, proactively completed the procedures and documents in a complete, specific and clear manner; in the coming time, the delegation will work with the province to complete the following contents to soon approve and implement the project.

Concluding the working session, Mr. Tran Quoc Nam, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, expressed his pleasure at the attention and support of the delegation; at the same time, he committed to using investment capital effectively and for the right purpose, to improve urban environmental sanitation conditions in the towns; to arrange sufficient capital and direct relevant sectors to coordinate with investors to speed up the procedures for submitting and approving investment policy proposals from Vietnam to ensure that the project implementation plan using capital from the Public Investment Credit Program (PIF) of the Government of Finland has been approved; to mobilize all resources to implement project investment procedures on schedule as committed.
