Lao Cai forms two event organization centers

Introduce and promote Lao Cai agricultural products to domestic and international friends.

"Meeting 2025" - an important event organized by Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee in coordination with the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry to introduce Lao Cai's potentials and strengths to businesses and investors. The event was attended by many domestic and foreign delegates with many sideline activities affirming Lao Cai's position and prestige.

Mr. Nguyen Huy Tuong, Deputy Director of Lao Cai Department of Industry and Trade said: “Lao Cai always identifies its role as a bridge between Vietnam, ASEAN countries and the Southwest region, China. Affirming that role, we organize many events between provinces and Yunnan, China. Provinces such as Lam Dong, Ho Chi Minh City or Da Nang have come to Lao Cai to organize conferences. The image of Lao Cai is truly a destination for businesses. Businesses are expecting it to be a successful destination in the near future.”

The provincial multi-purpose stadium was chosen to host many important sporting events.

Lao Cai City - the administrative center of the province with a system of cultural and sports facilities and institutions invested synchronously and modernly, the highlight is the 3,000-seat multi-purpose stadium chosen to host national and international sports tournaments such as: VTV Cup Volleyball Tournament 2023, National Women's Volleyball Championship 2024.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Hoa, Vietnam Volleyball Federation shared: “From preparing facilities to welcoming teams, arranging training and competition programs for the teams in a thoughtful and comprehensive manner, creating an impression for domestic and international athletes. This is also a great opportunity to promote the image of Lao Cai”.

Vietnam Mountain Marathon is held in Sa Pa town.

Sa Pa National Tourist Area is an ideal place to organize national and international cultural and sporting events such as the annual Vietnam Mountain Marathon. International Yoga Day or the Miss Vietnam Tourism Contest 2024 have contributed to enhancing the position of Sa Pa tourism.

Ms. Tran Thi Nhu Nguyen, Hanoi city expressed: "I participated in International Yoga Day and found the organization very well organized. This is a very special memory and impression of International Yoga Day in Sa Pa".

Lao Cai currently has 1,500 accommodation establishments with about 16,000 rooms, including 13 4- and 5-star hotels, along with more than 2,430 service establishments, meeting the requirements for organizing large-scale events.

Lao Cai is worthy of being a central city.

Mr. Pham Minh Duc, CEO of Muong Thanh Lao Cai Hotel said: “We have nearly 200 rooms that meet the standards of the General Department of Tourism, with full accompanying services such as: accommodation, dining, conferences, seminars. For conferences and seminars, we can accommodate 1,000 guests.”

A convenient transportation system and increasingly improved infrastructure are prerequisites for Lao Cai to become an event center, a reliable and prestigious destination, chosen by domestic and international partners and tourists.
