Unemployed workers can stay at home to apply for unemployment benefits from July 21

This is one of the important highlights in the pilot of some unemployment insurance procedures on the National Public Service Portal that is about to be deployed.

In a document recently sent by the Ministry of Home Affairs to the People's Committees of provinces and cities regarding the pilot implementation of public services for unemployment insurance procedures, the Ministry of Home Affairs said it will pilot the reception and settlement of 6 unemployment insurance procedures on the National Public Service Portal.

These unemployment insurance procedures include: Monthly job search notification for force majeure cases, unemployment benefit settlement, suspension, continuation, termination, and transfer of unemployment benefit location.

From July 1, workers can apply for unemployment benefits online.

In order to provide online public services and support employees in completing procedures quickly and conveniently, the Ministry of Home Affairs requests that local People's Committees direct the Department of Home Affairs and the Employment Service Center to immediately deploy and follow the procedures and forms of the Ministry of Home Affairs on receiving and handling 6 unemployment insurance procedures on the National Public Service Portal from July 21.

This is to avoid restricting the rights of workers, because currently the majority of workers are manual workers, not proficient in performing electronic transactions. Submitting documents online is a method to support workers in addition to the direct submission method.
