Collecting comments on the draft Political Report of the 17th Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ha Nam province, term 2024-2029

On the morning of April 8, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee held a conference to collect comments on draft documents of the 17th Provincial Fatherland Front Congress, term 2024-2029.

Comrade Tran Thi Ngan, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee chaired the conference.

Attending the conference were delegates who were leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, leaders of socio-political organizations; leaders of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee of different periods; Chairmen of the Fatherland Front Committees of districts, towns and cities.

At the conference, the leaders of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee informed about the innovations in the direction of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front on organizing the provincial Fatherland Front Congress; pointed out some differences between the Draft Political Report of the 17th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024-2029, compared to the Political Report of the 16th Congress.

The draft political report of the 17th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ha Nam province, term 2024-2029, is titled "Strengthening the core political role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, continuing to promote the tradition of great national unity, strongly arousing the spirit of patriotism and the aspiration to build Ha Nam province to be increasingly rich, prosperous, civilized and happy".

The theme of the Congress is "Solidarity, democracy, innovation, development".

The Congress documents are built in 2 parts: the first part summarizes the situation of the great national unity bloc and the results of implementing the action program of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ha Nam province, term XVI, term 2019-2024; the second part sets out the direction, goals, tasks and action program of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ha Nam province, term XVII, term 2024-2029.

During the past term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels and member organizations focused on propagating and mobilizing the people of all walks of life through the implementation of the Campaign, patriotic emulation movements, and social security programs; promptly commending and rewarding advanced models. In addition, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels also proactively organized direct dialogue activities between provincial leaders and the people; maintained the organization of the "National Great Unity Day", contributing to encouraging and consolidating the people's trust in the Party's leadership; the relationship between the Party Committee, the government and the people became increasingly close; the great unity bloc was promoted, making an important contribution to ensuring political stability and social order and safety in the past time.

Participating in contributing opinions to the Draft Political Report of the 17th Provincial Fatherland Front Congress, term 2024-2029, most delegates highly appreciated the preparation and drafting of the Draft Report of the Provincial Fatherland Front; emphasizing the strictness, meticulousness, and scientific nature of the document; agreeing with many contents presented in the Draft Political Report.

At the same time, it is proposed to add some contents to the draft, such as: results of anti-corruption and anti-negativity work, recognizing the results of the core role of the People in providing information to denounce crimes and prevent corruption; it is necessary to specify the targets for the 2024-2029 term; supplement the socio-economic development results of the province in the past 5 years, to more clearly affirm the role of the Fatherland Front at all levels and people in the socio-economic development of the province; study and shorten the Draft Report, ensuring the appropriateness of the capacity and presentation content...

The opinions clearly demonstrated the intelligence, enthusiasm, responsibility, and hard work of the delegates in studying the documents. At the same time, it affirmed that the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee will fully absorb the delegates' contributions, on that basis consider and select appropriate additional opinions, and soon complete the congress documents.
