Ponagar Tower Festival Nha Trang

The Ponagar Tower Festival in Khanh Hoa province, also known as the Thien YA Na Thanh Mau Festival or the Lady's Festival, is an intangible cultural heritage, a type of traditional festival, and has been included in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List by the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism (in 2012). The Ponagar Tower Festival takes place annually at the national historical and cultural relic Ponagar Tower, on Cu Lao Hill, Vinh Phuoc Ward, Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province.

The Ponagar Tower Festival, also known as the Thien YA Na Thanh Mau Festival or the Lady's Festival, is held from the 20th to the 23rd of the third lunar month every year with many exciting activities. The Ponagar Tower Festival is a festival of the Cham people in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa , Vietnam. This is the biggest folk festival of the year in Khanh Hoa province to commemorate the goddess Yang Po Inư Nagar - who has contributed a lot to helping people, bringing good things and happiness to everyone. The Ponagar Tower Festival in Nha Trang is held on a large scale every year, associated with the long-standing Mother Goddess worship of the Vietnamese people. This is a traditional festival to honor and commemorate Mother Ponagar - who taught people how to grow rice, raise livestock, weave cloth and brought the Cham people to a prosperous life.
