According to the Organizing Committee, the Shan Tuyet Tea Festival "Quintessence among the clouds" is held to promote the introduction and promotion of the image and Shan Tuyet Tea products of Van Chan district to domestic and foreign friends. Along with that, it will introduce and promote the image, potential, strengths, and traditional cultural identity of the ethnic groups of Van Chan district to tourists; preserve, maintain and promote cultural values, scenic spots, and relics.

At the same time, promoting the introduction and promotion of OCOP products and local unique products to friends, domestic and foreign tourists and international tourists in association with finding markets for product consumption.

With the theme: "Quintessence among the clouds", the first Shan Tuyet Tea Festival of Van Chan district in 2023 takes place with many attractive activities: Opening of the Shan Tuyet Tea Festival at the District Stadium at 8:00 p.m. on September 22, 2023; organizing exhibitions of paintings and photos of Van Chan land and people, beautiful photos of the Western region of Yen Bai province from September 22 to September 26, 2023 in front of the District Stadium gate and along the road in the district center.

The special highlight is the opening of the festival with an art program including an opening performance and 3 chapters: Chapter 1 "Returning to the snowy Shan region" introduces the early Van Chan countryside; Chapter 2 "Flavors among the clouds" with dances and songs describing Shan tea, introducing and promoting tea products in Van Chan's homeland; Chapter 3 "Quintessence and integration" with songs praising the Western region, performing Mong panpipes and the solidarity xoe dance of the ethnic groups.

In addition, there are more than 100 booths displaying and introducing Shan Tuyet tea products; OCOP products; key products of localities and demonstrating the typical cultural features of ethnic groups in Van Chan district; Festival to honor the ancestral tea tree in Suoi Giang commune...

There will be many exciting activities at the Festival.

Also from September 22-25, at Suoi Giang Tea Cultural Space, Suoi Giang commune will hold a tea party to demonstrate how to make tea, enjoy tea and cultural exchange programs, Mong ethnic arts... and auction tea products. Organizing mass cultural and artistic activities; activities to welcome guests at tourist attractions in the commune; performing costumes, Mong ethnic culture; tea exchange; experience activities, visiting ancient tea gardens, Thien Cung cave, Coc Tinh, bamboo forest...

In addition, in Son Thinh and Dong Khe communes of Van Chan district, there will also be a Thai ethnic cultural space and display, exchange, purchase and sale of OCOP products, typical products of Suoi Bu commune, Dong Khe commune and neighboring communes...
