Inauguration and groundbreaking ceremony of projects and works to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day in Tuyen Quang province

On the morning of August 19, along with 80 bridges across the country, Tuyen Quang province solemnly held the inauguration ceremony of the Project to invest in the construction of a bridge and bypass road to Son Duong town in Son Duong commune and the launching ceremony of the Thanh Thuy Primary and Secondary Boarding School project in Thanh Thuy commune.

These are works and projects in Tuyen Quang province, sharing the joy of the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremony of 250 works and projects nationwide to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

Attending the ceremony at Son Duong commune was comrade Hau A Lenh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee. Also attending were leaders of the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions; representatives of the Ministry of Public Security ; leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, Provincial People's Council, Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and leaders of departments, branches and sectors.

The Son Duong town bridge and bypass construction investment project has a total length of 4.45km, with a total investment of more than 329 billion VND.

The Son Duong Town Bridge and Bypass Road Construction Investment Project has a total length of 4.45km, of which the road section is 4.035km long, the bridge is 419.86m long; starting point at Km183 and ending point at Km188, National Highway 37; belongs to Group B project, traffic works of level II road, level III bridge. The project has a total investment of more than 329 billion VND.

This is an important route in the infrastructure planning for Son Duong commune, helping to reduce traffic volume through the commune center and the existing Son Duong bridge, overcoming congestion, reducing the risk of traffic accidents, opening up new urban development space for Son Duong commune, and at the same time connecting more conveniently to the Tan Trao National Special Relic Site.

Delegates performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the Thanh Thuy Primary and Secondary Boarding School Project in Thanh Thuy Commune, Tuyen Quang Province.

The project to build Thanh Thuy Primary and Secondary Boarding School in Na Thai village, Thanh Thuy commune, is built on an area of over 3 hectares with a scale of 31 classrooms, 15 subject rooms, 198 dormitories for students and teachers; many other auxiliary items such as multi-purpose hall, dining room, library, football field, cultural activity area. The total investment capital of the project is over 211 billion VND. According to the plan, the project will be completed and put into use by the end of 2026. When completed, it will be a spacious, modern educational facility, qualified to receive teaching and boarding for about 1,000 students in the two border communes of Thanh Thuy, Lao Chai and neighboring areas.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Manh Tuan, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province affirmed: The inauguration ceremony of the bridge and bypass road of Son Duong town and the launching ceremony of the Thanh Thuy Primary and Secondary Boarding School project are events of special significance, marking a new step in the development of the province's transport infrastructure and educational infrastructure.

Comrade Nguyen Manh Tuan, Permanent Vice Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee spoke at the Inauguration and Groundbreaking Ceremony at Son Duong Commune bridge point.

With the aim of removing "bottlenecks" in traffic infrastructure, creating growth momentum, promoting socio-economic development of the province. The project to build a bridge and bypass road in Son Duong town was invested in to implement a breakthrough in traffic infrastructure according to the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress.

After more than 3 years of construction, with the determination and efforts of the investor, the Project Management Board, the participation of local authorities and the unanimous support of the people, the project has been completed, including a completely new bypass road of more than 4km long and a bridge across the Pho Day River, with an investment scale of construction according to the standards of a secondary urban main street.

Regarding the project to build Thanh Thuy Primary and Secondary Boarding School, it is a project to realize the investment policy to build primary and secondary boarding schools in 248 land border communes, stated in Notice No. 81-TB/TW dated July 18, 2025 of the Politburo. This is a policy of profound human significance, demonstrating the special attention of the Party and State to people in border areas, remote areas, and areas with many difficulties.

In particular, this is a school that General Secretary To Lam paid attention to, directed and directly donated funds to build. With spacious and modern facilities, when completed, the school will be a place with full conditions for studying, eating and living for thousands of students. It will contribute significantly to improving the quality of education, reducing the rate of students dropping out of school due to geographical difficulties. At the same time, it will create a safe and modern learning environment for children of ethnic minorities in the border commune of Tuyen Quang province.

Comrade Nguyen Manh Tuan acknowledged, highly appreciated and commended the efforts of the investor, the Project Management Board, departments, branches, sectors, the People's Committee of Son Duong commune; the construction contractors, the consulting units participating in the project have closely coordinated in the process of implementing the project to build the bridge and bypass road of Son Duong town; commended the agencies, units, and households who agreed, supported, and actively coordinated with the authorities and the investor to promptly clear and hand over the construction site so that the project can be completed on schedule. He requested the investor, the Project Management Board and contractors to continue to review and complete all work, promptly work with specialized agencies to organize inspection, acceptance, and handover to put the project into operation and use according to regulations; Carry out maintenance work well to ensure technical, aesthetic and absolute safety during exploitation and use as well as maximize the investment efficiency of the project.

Regarding the project to build Thanh Thuy Primary and Secondary Boarding School, comrade Nguyen Manh Tuan requested that the provincial Department of Education and Training, relevant agencies and Thanh Thuy commune urgently complete the procedures to organize the implementation of the project in order to soon complete and put the project into use, promptly meeting the teaching and learning needs of teachers and students of the school.
