Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son asked US businesses to join hands to help Vietnam realize its development goals set for 2030; strive to achieve 8% growth in 2025 and double-digit growth in the following years, with the highest priority given to science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation as important breakthroughs for economic growth.

The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that Vietnam will continue to create favorable conditions for foreign enterprises to invest and do business in Vietnam, including US enterprises, and at the same time, resolutely streamline the apparatus from the central to local levels, from Party agencies to government ministries and branches, to improve efficiency, effectiveness and efficiency, remove development bottlenecks as well as obstacles in investment and business processes and procedures.

The Vietnamese Government also hopes that US businesses will continue to have good initiatives and solutions that benefit both sides, especially increasing the import of goods and raw materials from the US, contributing to trade balance, improving competitiveness for the two countries, maintaining stable economic relations and sustainable development.
In that spirit, the Deputy Prime Minister hopes that US businesses, with their important role, will continue to speak up and take action to support the harmonious, stable and mutually beneficial development of economic, trade and investment relations between the two countries.

Looking back on the 30 years since the two countries established diplomatic relations, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized: "We have the right to be proud of the strong and remarkable progress of the Vietnam-US relationship."
Through the ups and downs of history, that relationship has truly become a model in international relations, upgraded to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, opening up many new cooperation opportunities, in which economics, trade and investment continue to be the core foundation and important driving force of bilateral relations. What President Ho Chi Minh wished for from the very beginning of the nation's founding 80 years ago has finally come true.

Thanking the Deputy Prime Minister for his recognition and appreciation, US Ambassador to Vietnam Marc Knapper pledged to continue to closely coordinate with Vietnamese ministries and branches to promote and further deepen the Vietnam-US Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

Ambassador Knapper emphasized that 2025 is of great significance in the bilateral relationship as the two sides celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. Based on the common perception and orientation in the relationship between the two countries, the Vietnam-US relationship has reached a new milestone of development, of historical significance.
