Algerian media outlets have emphasized that Vietnam is asserting its position as one of the most dynamically developing economies in Asia.
Algerian newspapers cited an announcement from the Vietnamese government stating that Vietnam's economic growth in the third quarter of this year reached 8.2%, the highest level since 2011. In the previous second quarter, Vietnam's GDP also increased by 7.96%, bringing the average growth for the first nine months of the year to 7.8% compared to the same period last year.
Some newspapers also quoted Finance Minister Nguyen Van Thang as saying that this was "the highest quarterly growth rate in more than a decade," reflecting the flexible adaptability and resilience of the Vietnamese economy in the face of the impact of the international trade situation.
Algerian observers believe that Vietnam's ability to maintain a high growth rate while many major economies are slowing down demonstrates its potential for macroeconomic stability, attractiveness to foreign investment, and the effectiveness of its reform policies.
Vietnam aims to become an upper-middle-income country by 2030, with projected growth of 8% in 2025, compared to 7.1% in 2024.
According to Algerian media, the resilience of the Vietnamese economy is proof of a balanced development model between industrialization, international integration, and green transition – a valuable lesson for many developing economies in Africa and the Mediterranean region.
