Leverkusen announces new coach Ten Hag

Erik ten Hag has been officially appointed as head coach of Bayer Leverkusen, on a two-year contract.

On the afternoon of May 26, the Bayer Leverkusen board confirmed the signing of a contract with the Dutch coach. The contract between the two sides is valid until June 2027.

According to ESPN , Ten Hag and his representatives have been in active negotiations with Leverkusen since last weekend. Ten Hag has rejected many clubs since Manchester United terminated his contract in October 2024.

The former Ajax coach is patiently choosing the right destination and time to return to coaching. There were rumors that he could lead Ajax or Borussia Dortmund, but the negotiations were unsuccessful.
