Recently, this young writer released a collection of short stories titled "In the Heart of Chu Nam" (Hong Duc Publishing House). The collection comprises 11 short stories, spanning various settings: highlands, fishing villages, and cities; with characters of diverse origins: city dwellers, ethnic minorities, and fishermen. Reading " In the Heart of Chu Nam ," one easily recognizes the eagerness and heartfelt longing of "that initial, nostalgic feeling" in young writers like Li Phan.
It was a desire to write and tell stories to readers about what she saw and heard in life. Therefore, Li Phan's themes are quite diverse, sometimes the stories of former soldiers returning to ordinary life ( In the Heart of Chu Nam, Echoes of the Past ); sometimes the stories of young people growing up through hardships ( Longing for the Sea, Grandma Nam's Big, Mother's Floral Dress ). Especially in the theme of family, through short stories like: Each Person Has Their Own Pain, Mother's Floral Dress, Like a Lullaby ..., Li Phan conveys a profound message: a warm family home is something everyone longs for, but that happiness becomes fragile if family members lack empathy and sharing.

For Li Phan, literature is a place where writers can use words to construct their own stories, and where readers can see or visualize more than what the words express. “When I was a child, literature was a joy for me; I read for entertainment because back then there was nothing but the words in books. Now, for me, literature holds immense spiritual value. Whether as a reader or a writer, I find lessons and draw profound values from it,” Li Phan expressed.
As someone who has followed Li Phan closely since his early days as a writer, poet Ngo Thanh Van, Vice President of the Gia Lai Provincial Association of Literature and Arts, said that Li Phan is a writer who matured from the training course for young writers - ethnic minority literature organized annually by the Gia Lai Provincial Association of Literature and Arts. Although he has only appeared on the literary scene for less than three years, Li Phan has already made his mark on his own artistic path and on the literature of his province. “I believe Li Phan will gradually establish himself, contributing to the diversity and richness of the literary landscape of Gia Lai in particular and the whole country in general,” poet Ngo Thanh Van shared.
Recently, Li Phan has frequently participated in literary workshops organized in various locations. As a young person, this is a way for Li Phan to accumulate life experience, learn, and improve her writing. “Participating in the workshops allows me to visit new places, meet new people and see locations that would be difficult to access on my own. At the workshops, I also get to meet many established writers and young writers, listen to their experiences, and receive a lot of guidance and advice,” Li Phan shared.
