Recently, this young writer released the short story collection In the Heart of Chu Nam (Hong Duc Publishing House). The collection includes 11 short stories, spanning many different spaces: highlands, fishing villages, cities; with characters of diverse origins: urbanites, ethnic minorities, fishermen. Reading In the Heart of Chu Nam , it is easy to recognize the enthusiasm and passion of "that nostalgic first time" in young writers like Li Phan.

It is the desire to write, to tell stories to readers about things seen and heard in life. Therefore, Li Phan's topics are quite diverse, sometimes it is the story of former soldiers returning to ordinary life ( In Chu Nam's heart, Echo of the past ); sometimes it is the story of young people growing up from their struggles ( Looking for the sea, Big of Mrs. Nam, Mother's floral dress ). Especially, in the topic of family, through the short stories: Each person has a pain, Mother's floral dress, Like a lullaby ..., Li Phan brings a profound message: the family home is the place that everyone longs for, but that happiness will become fragile if the members do not sympathize and share with each other.

For Li Phan, literature is a place where writers can use words to create their own stories, and also a place where readers can see or draw more than what the words express. “When I was a child, literature was a joy for me, reading for entertainment because at that time there was nothing but lines of words in books. Until now, to me, literature has an extremely great spiritual value. Whether in the position of reader or writer, I have found lessons and drawn profound values in life,” Li Phan expressed.

As someone who has been interested in and closely followed Li Phan since his early days of writing, poet Ngo Thanh Van, Vice President of the Gia Lai Province Literature and Arts Association, said that Li Phan is a writer who has grown up from the youth literature and ethnic minority literature training class organized annually by the Gia Lai Province Literature and Arts Association. Although he has only appeared on the literary scene for less than 3 years, Li Phan has left his mark on his own artistic creation path and that of the province's literature. "I believe that Li Phan will gradually assert himself, contributing to creating a multifaceted and multi-voiced culture for the Gia Lai literary garden in particular and the whole country in general," poet Ngo Thanh Van shared.

Recently, Li Phan often participates in literary writing camps held in many different localities. As a young person, for Li Phan, this is a way for her to accumulate life experience, study and improve her writing. “By participating in writing camps, I will be able to visit new lands, with characters and places that are sometimes difficult to access on my own. At writing camps, I also meet many famous writers, young writers, listen to their sharing and receive a lot of guidance and instruction,” Li Phan confided.
