The 2025 AFF Women's Championship will take place from August 6 to 19 in Vietnam, with the participation of the region's top 8 teams.
This year’s tournament is of special significance as Vietnam is the host country and aims to win the championship on home soil. The matches will be held at two main venues: Lach Tray Stadium (Hai Phong) – where Group A, semi-finals and finals will take place; Viet Tri Stadium (Phu Tho) – where Group B will be held.

The Vietnamese women’s team is in Group A with Thailand, Indonesia and Cambodia. According to the schedule, Vietnam will face Cambodia and Indonesia before facing Thailand in the final match of the group stage on August 12 – a match considered the “early final” of Group A, deciding the top spot and a favorable ticket to the semi-finals.
With a team that combines experience and promising youth, coach Mai Duc Chung and his team are expected to maintain their No. 1 position in Southeast Asia, especially after the impressive 2023 Women's World Cup. The tournament promises to be a turning point for Vietnamese women's football to conquer the regional peak.
