An Giang Provincial Party Committee Deputy Secretary Lam Minh Thanh works with 5 localities at the headwaters of Tien River

On the morning of August 5, Deputy Secretary of An Giang Provincial Party Committee Lam Minh Thanh worked with the Standing Committee of the Party Committees of the communes: Tan An, Chau Phong, Vinh Xuong and the two wards of Tan Chau and Long Phu (An Giang province) to inspect and direct the preparation work for the organization of the Party Congresses of communes and wards for the term 2025 - 2030.

The delegation worked with the Standing Committees of localities.

At the meeting, local leaders reported on the progress of preparations for grassroots Party congresses in accordance with the Provincial Party Committee's instructions; the drafting of political reports and review reports of the Party Executive Committee. The process of introducing personnel has been and is being implemented synchronously. Localities have organized extensive consultation among cadres, party members and people on draft documents, clearly demonstrating the spirit of democracy and openness.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Lam Minh Thanh highly appreciated the proactive and responsible spirit of the Party Committees of communes and wards in implementing the preparation work for the congress. He emphasized: "The successful organization of the grassroots Party Congress not only has important political significance, but also serves as a basis for orienting local development in the next 5 years, with a longer-term vision".

The Provincial Party Committee's working group gave specific comments on the draft political report, review report and draft congress resolution. In particular, it focused on clarifying the congress theme, closely following the province's development orientation, and being suitable to the characteristics of each locality...

Regarding personnel work, comrade Lam Minh Thanh noted that localities need to closely follow regulations, ensure the principles of democratic centralism, objectivity, impartiality, and take work efficiency and prestige among party members and the masses as measures for selecting cadres.

He also suggested that the determination of local development goals must be specific, feasible, and linked to the reality and potential of each commune and ward. Development orientation in the coming term should focus on promoting strengths: high-quality agriculture, border trade , river tourism, trade and services, etc.
