
On May 15, a delegation of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) led by President Tran Quoc Tuan arrived in Asuncion (Paraguay) to attend the 75th FIFA Congress. Also attending the Congress were Vice President Tran Anh Tu and Deputy Secretary General Dinh Thi Thu Trang.
Within the framework of activities before the Congress, VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan had meetings and exchanges with leaders of international football organizations, aiming to promote strategic cooperation activities.
Specifically, VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan met with Mr. Frank Paauw - the new President of the Dutch Football Federation and General Secretary of the Dutch Football Federation Gijs de Jong. At the meeting, President Tran Quoc Tuan, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the VFF Executive Committee, sent congratulations to Mr. Frank Paauw on the occasion of his new position.

In addition, VFF leaders also met with the President of the Ukrainian Football Federation - former famous player Andrei Shevchenko, and the President of the Brazilian Football Federation Ednaldo Rodrigues, thereby suggesting cooperation programs, aiming at the development of Vietnamese football in the coming time.
The 75th FIFA Congress took place with the participation of representatives from more than 200 member associations around the world . This Congress not only marked the important milestone of the 100th anniversary of Paraguay joining FIFA, but also served as a forum for football associations around the world to discuss important issues related to the development of global football.
One of the key issues of the Congress was the adoption of the revised Disciplinary Code, which aims to strengthen the ability to deal with racist and abusive behaviour, with close coordination between the 211 member associations. In addition, the Congress also approved new regulations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the 2025 FIFA Intercontinental Cup, ensuring the efficient and fair organisation of these tournaments.
In particular, to celebrate the 120th anniversary of FIFA, a special exhibition was held in Asunción, displaying precious historical artifacts such as the Jules Rimet trophy, the Women's World Cup trophy and the Copa America, to honor football heritage and inspire the younger generation.
