Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade has set the minimum score for admission based on the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam at 16 points for all majors. This score is calculated by the total score of three subjects in the admission group (without multiplying the coefficient), not including priority points according to region or subject.

According to MSc. Pham Thai Son, Director of the Admissions and Communications Center, the determination of this floor score is based on the fact that the average score of this year's high school exam tends to decrease slightly, especially in groups with English subjects, because the exam questions are considered to have a higher classification.

According to Mr. Son, this year's benchmark scores for some majors may decrease by 0.5-1.5 points compared to 2024. Therefore, the 16-point threshold is set to expand admission opportunities for candidates, while still ensuring input quality in line with training requirements.

With the admission method using the competency assessment test scores organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University, the expected minimum score is 600 points for all majors. For the Law group, the threshold to ensure input quality is a minimum total score of 720 points, while the minimum Vietnamese score is 180 points and the minimum Math score is 180 points.

The University of Information Technology (Ho Chi Minh City National University) expects the floor score to be from 22.5 to 24 based on the 2025 high school graduation exam results, the highest in the Microchip Design major. With the method of considering the competency assessment test scores organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University, the school expects to receive applications with scores of 700/1,200 or higher.

The formula for calculating admission scores based on high school graduation exam scores and capacity assessment of the University of Information Technology is:

Admission score = High school graduation exam score/Ability assessment score + bonus points (if any) + priority points (if any).

Candidates with IELTS 5, TOEFL iBT 65, TOEIC (listening and reading ≥ 650 and speaking and writing ≥ 250) or Japanese JLPT N3 or higher will receive extra points when applying for these two methods. However, the school has not announced the specific bonus level.

University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Ho Chi Minh City National University) expects the floor score to be from 18-20 points.

This level applies to the following methods: admission based on the results of the 2025 high school exam; Priority is given to students from 149 high schools according to the list prescribed by Ho Chi Minh City National University; priority is given to direct admission of the best candidates from high schools in 2025; priority is given to students who are members of provincial and municipal teams participating in the national excellent student exam or winning prizes in provincial and municipal excellent student exams; candidates with achievements in social, artistic and sports activities.

The school will convert the entrance threshold between the admission methods and combinations according to a rule that ensures the equivalence in meeting the entrance requirements of the training program and major. The admission scores of the methods are converted to a 30-point scale and the highest score is 30 points.

For the admission method based on the results of the Ho Chi Minh City National University's competency assessment exam, the minimum score is 620 or higher.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry announced the minimum admission score for general majors that are selected from the competency assessment test organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University at 650 points. For majors with English-enhanced programs, the minimum admission score is 600 points (without coefficient, without priority points, and not applicable to the Law group).

For the Law group, the minimum score is 720 points; at the same time, candidates need to achieve a minimum of 180 points in Vietnamese and 180 points in Mathematics.

In the method of considering academic records, the school accepts applications for admission using the 12th grade high school academic results combined with outstanding achievements (if any) with the condition that the total score of 3 subjects (without coefficient; not including priority points, bonus points) in the admission combination is at least 21 points.

The school notes that for the Law group, the minimum admission score for Math and Literature is 6 points. For Pharmacy, the threshold for receiving applications is a total score of 24 points in the 3 subjects in the admission group and having a good grade 12 academic performance.
