A series of exhibitions in the field of Industry and Trade opened in Ho Chi Minh City.

On November 27, 2024, a series of international exhibitions in the field of Industry and Trade officially opened in Ho Chi Minh City.

This morning, November 27th, the opening ceremony of the 20th Vietnam International Chemical Industry Exhibition (Vinachem Expo 2024) took place at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC).

The Vinachem Expo 2024 event is being held concurrently with 7 international specialized exhibition groups under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, including: Agricultural Chemicals and Plant Protection (CAC Vietnam); Chemical Equipment (VIETChemTech); Paint and Coating Industry (Vina Coatings); Adhesives and Tapes (ADHESIVES & TAPE); Rubber and Tires (RUBBER TECH); Plastics Industry Technology and Products (PLASTICS EXPO); and Biotechnology (BIOTECH).

The exhibition brings together 700 booths from 500 Vietnamese and international businesses from more than 10 countries and territories: Australia, the United States, Japan, China, South Korea, India, Malaysia, Cambodia, Taiwan (China), Thailand, etc. The event will create a favorable environment for managers, manufacturers, and researchers. Domestic and international businesses will meet, enhance learning, and exchange in-depth experiences, helping domestic and international investors understand the policies, needs, and information on investment in Vietnam, maximizing the effectiveness of cooperation and business opportunities.

Mr. Liu Ji Gang, Vice Chairman of the Chemical Industry Branch of the China International Trade Promotion Committee and Head of the Chemical, Paint and Coating Industry Exhibition Delegation, delivered a speech.

Speaking at the opening of the 21st China Chemical Industry Exhibition in Vietnam, Mr. Liu Ji Gang, Vice President of the Chemical Industry Branch of the China International Trade Promotion Committee and Head of the Chemical, Paint and Coating Industry Exhibition Delegation, said that this year's 21st China Chemical Industry Exhibition in Vietnam features 266 Chinese exhibitors, showcasing products including pesticides, fertilizers, adhesives and tapes, paints and coatings, rubber, and basic chemicals.

Mr. Liu Ji Gang also emphasized that the continuous organization of the China Chemical Industry Exhibition in Vietnam demonstrates the important connection of the friendly relationship and economic and trade cooperation between China and Vietnam, which is highly complementary in the chemical industry. This exhibition is an opportunity to further strengthen cooperation and exchange between China and Vietnam in the chemical industry, jointly promote the prosperity and development of the chemical industry in both countries, and bring bilateral trade relations between China and Vietnam to a new level.

The exhibitions were simultaneously inaugurated this morning in Ho Chi Minh City.

Also taking place this morning, the International Exhibition of Equipment, Technology and Products for the Plastics Industry in Ho Chi Minh City – Plastic Expo 2024 – was inaugurated. The exhibition aims to bring together businesses involved in manufacturing, trading, import/export, and scientific activities within the Ministry of Industry and Trade in general and the plastics industry in particular. Its purpose is to coordinate scientific and technical activities with production and business, apply science to production, and encourage domestic and foreign investors to invest in line with the industrialization and modernization policy.

The exhibition serves as a platform for business networking, showcasing the latest equipment, technologies, and groundbreaking products in the plastics industry. Simultaneously, it provides an opportunity for businesses to meet, exchange experiences, and seek collaboration opportunities, attracting domestic and foreign investors in line with the industrialization, modernization, and sustainable development goals.

Mr. Le Huynh Minh Tu, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade, delivered the opening remarks at the International Exhibition on Biotechnology and Industry in the Industry and Trade Sector.

At the same time, the International Exhibition on Biotechnology and Industry of the Ministry of Industry and Trade also opened this morning. The exhibition supports businesses in showcasing products, technologies, machinery, and equipment from biotechnology enterprises in the city across various fields such as food processing, textiles, footwear, plastics, etc.

In addition, the exhibition also serves as a venue for domestic and international businesses to meet and exchange information, enabling them to promptly access and understand market trends and engage in practical business networking activities, meeting the needs of businesses during the economic recovery period.

All these events will be held from November 27-29 at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC) – 799 Nguyen Van Linh Street, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.
