Don ca tai tu profession training class in the community in 2025

(CT) - According to the Can Tho City Center for Culture and Arts, the Don Ca Tai class in the community in 2025 will be held from August 8. The class is a practical activity to implement the Project "Preserving and promoting the value of intangible cultural heritage of Can Tho City, period 2021-2025, orientation to 2030".

There will be 2 classes: class 1 takes place at 7:00 p.m. every Friday and Sunday, from August 8 to September 7, 2025; class 2 is held at 7:00 p.m. every Friday and Sunday, from September 12 to October 12, 2025. Each class has 10 sessions, at Nha Tron area, Ben Ninh Kieu Park, Ninh Kieu ward, Can Tho city.

The class is aimed at Don ca tai tu clubs and people who love this art form in the city, as well as visitors and tourists . Students are guided to get acquainted with tai tu music, how to sing the melody, learn about the beat, the long song, pronunciation, word release, and breathing. At the same time, the artists will guide the techniques in singing the melodies, tai tu and cai luong songs, from basic to advanced. Each class includes practice, performance and exchange between artists and tourists.

This is the second Don ca tai tu training class in the community organized by the Can Tho City Culture and Arts Center, following the success of a similar training class in 2024.
