On the morning of October 7, both hydroelectric plants at the headwaters of Hien and Bang rivers simultaneously announced flood discharge.

Bach Dang Hydropower Plant, on Hien River, announced that it will release flood water at 9:30 am. The discharge volume is 262 ^m3 /second. Due to the hydropower plant releasing flood water, the water level of Hien River has risen, currently the river water level is 5-6m high.

Flood water flooded into houses in Thuc Phan ward.

Binh Long Hydropower Plant started releasing flood water at 10 o'clock. Discharge flow is ^550m3 /second.

From 11am to after 12pm, in Hoa An commune and Thuc Phan, Tan Giang, and Nung Tri Cao wards, the river water level rose and flooded into people's houses.

The flood water rose quickly.

At Group 2, Hop Giang, Thuc Phan Ward, the water level of Hien River quickly rose, flooding houses along the river; flooding roads; water flooded houses several meters high.

Some of people's belongings were swept away by the rapidly rising floodwaters.

Soldiers helped people move their belongings to safety.

Forecasting the complicated situation of rain and flood, Cao Bang province has announced, requested, and supported people to move to safe places, raise furniture, and transport furniture to safe places.

Local Party committees, authorities and armed forces are on duty, patrolling and supporting people in responding to the consequences of floods and inundations.
