
At 7:00 a.m. on October 7, the upstream water level of Tuyen Quang Lake was at 114.14 m, the downstream water level was 53.95 m, the flow to the lake was 2,007 m³/s, and the total flow to the downstream was 1,818 m³/s.
The operation is carried out according to the Inter-reservoir Operation Procedure on the Red River Basin issued in Decision No. 740/QD-TTg dated June 17, 2019 and Decision No. 922/QD-TTg dated May 14, 2025 of the Prime Minister (amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Procedure).
On the same day, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment issued Document No. 7558/BNNMT-DD to the People's Committees of the provinces and cities of Tuyen Quang, Phu Tho and Hanoi, requesting the implementation of measures to ensure downstream safety when operating the Tuyen Quang hydropower reservoir.
The Ministry requested localities to promptly notify authorities at all levels, people and organizations operating on rivers and along rivers to proactively take response measures, ensure safety for people and property, and adjust production and daily activities accordingly.
Localities need to promptly report to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (through the Department of Dyke Management and Disaster Prevention and Control) if unusual situations arise.
The Minister requested Tuyen Quang Hydropower Company to continue closely monitoring the development of floods and rains, safety of works, flow to the lake, water levels upstream and downstream, and coordinate with local authorities downstream during the operation process to ensure safety of works and downstream areas.
