
On the evening of October 7, the Academy of Cryptography announced that it would continue to organize online classes. According to the Academy, it is forecasted that on October 8, some areas of Hanoi will continue to experience heavy rain and localized flooding, causing difficulties in traveling. Therefore, to ensure the safety of lecturers and students and to not interrupt teaching, all classes scheduled for October 8 at the Academy will continue to study online.
Foreign Trade University has announced that classes will continue to be held online this afternoon. Online learning on October 8 is based on weather forecasts and is intended to ensure teaching progress and create conditions for students in flooded areas or areas with difficult travel to fully participate in their studies.
As for the exam classes, they will still take place directly at the school according to the previously announced plan, to ensure the progress of the final exam of the whole school.
The school said that in difficult cases, students who cannot take the exam directly due to flooding or other force majeure reasons need to register to postpone the exam according to the instructions to be arranged with a suitable additional exam schedule.
On the evening of October 7, the University of Transport announced that it would temporarily suspend all in-person classes on October 8, including morning, afternoon, and evening classes, to switch to online learning.
For special classes and modules such as internships, practices, experiments, outdoor modules, etc. of the School, lecturers proactively arrange make-up teaching schedules at appropriate times.
Together with lecturers and students, the administrative block of the University of Transport will also, based on the actual situation, assign tasks and arrange suitable working methods for officers and employees of the unit, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted operations.
The University of Labor and Social Affairs also said that with the current situation of flooding, the school will continue to maintain online teaching and learning on October 8. Classrooms will still be maintained according to the plan sent to teachers and students, and classes can use classrooms according to the timetable issued at the beginning of the semester to switch to the corresponding online classrooms.
Vietnam Youth Academy will continue to conduct online learning on October 8 due to the rain and flooding situation for all regular university classes.
The circulation of storm No. 11 (Matmo) is causing moderate to heavy rains over a wide area in the Northern region. As of the afternoon of October 7, 106 flooded locations were recorded in Hanoi, of which 83 locations were still accessible and 23 locations were deeply flooded and temporarily impassable.
Previously, from October 6, many schools such as: Foreign Trade University, Academy of Journalism and Communication, University of Commerce, University of Industrial Fine Arts, University of Foreign Languages, ... decided to switch to online learning and teaching to ensure the safety of lecturers and students.
