At around 7pm, a fishing boat moored at Mui Ne beach, Phan Thiet city, about one kilometer from the mainland caught fire. At that time, the wind was strong in the area, the fire rose high, engulfing the entire boat.
Nearby anchored ships moved away to avoid being hit by the fire. Mui Ne Border Guard Station sent out Tet duty forces to support fishermen and prevent the fire from spreading.
