Luc Yen: Effectively exploiting the potential of white marble

WHITE MARBLE MINING AND PROCESSING INDUSTRY IS BECOMING AN IMPORTANT ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DRIVERS OF LUC YEN COMMUNE.

By 2025, the industrial and handicraft production value of Luc Yen commune is estimated to reach 1,485 billion VND, 1.6 times higher than in 2020, accounting for more than 53% of the industrial production value of the whole Luc Yen district (old). This is also one of the breakthrough areas, placing the white marble mining and processing industry in a key position. These strategic steps are concretized by strong investment in industrial infrastructure.

Yen The Industrial Cluster has been invested with 75 billion VND, now reaching an occupancy rate of 43.2%, creating the premise to attract many new projects. During the term, the commune has attracted 3 large-scale mineral exploitation and processing projects, not only supplementing investment resources but also opening up opportunities for technology transfer, job creation and income improvement for the people. These projects have become an important "push", turning the potential of mineral resources into a competitive advantage, while creating development momentum for the whole region.

Currently, in the commune, there are 183 enterprises, 25 cooperatives and 66 cooperative groups, creating jobs for thousands of workers. In particular, RK Vietnam Marble Company Limited and RK International - foreign-invested enterprises have become leading enterprises in the field of processing white marble for export.

Not only stopping at profits, the presence of stone mining and processing factories creates fundamental changes in people's lives. Many workers who are used to working in the fields now have stable jobs and incomes. Ms. Mong Thuy Loi, a worker at RK Vietnam Marble Company Limited, shared: Since working at the company, I have had a stable job, with an income of 7-9 million VND/month. We have been trained in the profession, and now we can operate modern production lines, so we are confident in our long-term commitment to the company.

Industrial development in Luc Yen is also closely linked to corporate social responsibility. Mr. Tran Ngoc Hung - Head of Human Resources Management Department of RK Vietnam Marble Company Limited said: We prioritize recruiting local workers, both to solve employment and to develop long-term human resources. This is not only a business strategy, but also a connection between the enterprise and the community, between economic benefits and social responsibility.

Accompanying the development of enterprises, the Luc Yen commune government has demonstrated a decisive and flexible state management role. Mr. Tang Ket Du - Vice Chairman of the Luc Yen Commune People's Committee affirmed: The commune government always accompanies, creates favorable conditions in terms of land, infrastructure, and procedures for enterprises to operate stably. At the same time, we closely monitor environmental protection, ensuring industrial development associated with community interests.

The figures on investment, budget revenue or employment are only part of the whole picture. More importantly, Luc Yen has found the right direction, turning resource potential into development advantages, while closely connecting the State, businesses and people. That consensus creates a solid development triangle: the government accompanies - businesses pioneer - People benefit. Thereby, from a land mainly producing agriculture , Luc Yen has now become an industrial bright spot in the province.

Looking back over the past 5 years, it can be seen that the stone mining and processing industry not only brings economic value, but also creates a shift in labor structure, improves people's lives, creates more resources for social security and public investment. That is a vivid demonstration of the policy of industrial development in a mountainous commune.

With the right orientation, determination of the government, pioneering spirit of enterprises and companionship of the people, stone mining and processing industry plays an important role in the economic structure of Luc Yen commune, contributing to the overall development of the province.
