International press reviews
International media outlets have praised "Face Off 7" for its beautiful cinematography and content suitable for fans of the family genre.

According to the producer, Flip Face 7: One Wish The film will be screened internationally from June 14th. Ly Hai's film will be shown in 12 countries including the US, Canada, UK, Scotland, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Poland.

On Asian Movie Pulse, author Panos Kotzathanasis stated that he was interested in Flip Face 7. This is because it is the second highest-grossing Vietnamese film in history. Furthermore, "Lật Mặt" is the highest-grossing film series in Vietnam, with total revenue exceeding 1 trillion VND.

In his review, Panos Kotzathanasis praised the film's strong use of Vietnamese imagery, from idyllic scenes to urban landscapes. "This is the most impressive aspect of the film. Director Nguyen Ngoc Cuong delivered meticulous visuals, thanks to the dominant use of reddish-brown and pastel tones," the expert wrote.

Experts also praised Ly Hai's exploration of the story of Mrs. Hai and her children to showcase the values and filial piety in modern society. Panos Kotzathanasis also commented that actress Thanh Hien (Mrs. Hai) performed emotionally and impressively.

However, Panos Kotzathanasis argues that at times Ly Hai falls into the abyss of forced sentimentality, and the tragic plot is pushed too far. The author suggests that "Face Off 7: A Wish" would be more cohesive if the film were shorter, instead of 139 minutes.

"Despite some shortcomings in the way the film's themes are developed, 'Face Off 7' generally has beautiful cinematography and is suitable for those who enjoy family movies," Panos Kotzathanasis commented.

Following its European release, the producers announced that "Face Off 7" will be screened in Asia, starting in Taiwan (China) on June 21st. According to information provided by Ly Hai, "One Wish" currently holds the record for the Asian film with the highest number of screenings in the Taiwanese market, at 86 locations (accounting for 95% of the total number of theaters).

Regarding the reason for choosing Taiwan, China as the first place to screen "Face Off 7" in Asia (excluding the Vietnamese market), Ly Hai said: "I wanted to see the audience reaction in Taiwan first, simply because there are many Vietnamese people in that market, and also in Singapore."

The director of "Face Off 7" said the team is discussing plans to screen the film in Japan and several other Southeast Asian countries.

After more than two months in theaters, "Face Off 7: A Wish" has grossed over 478.5 billion VND in Vietnamese cinemas, according to Box Office Vietnam statistics. The film helped Ly Hai surpass the box office record of "Mrs. Nu's House," becoming the second highest-grossing film in Vietnamese history. "Face Off 7" also made Ly Hai the second Vietnamese director to earn over a billion VND (1 billion VND) in box office revenue, after Tran Thanh.
