On December 9th, filming for "Face Off 8: Sunny Embrace" officially began in Ninh Thuan .

Director Ly Hai shared: “Today, December 9th, Ly Hai and the crew officially started filming "Flip Face 8: The Embrace of the Sun". I hope everything goes smoothly. I also hope that when the film is released in theaters on April 30th, 2025, it will be loved by the audience as much as the previous installments.”

He also revealed that the preparation and pre-production process for the film was very difficult and had to start two months earlier than the previous installments.

The filmmaker said: “This year, we had to prepare earlier for 'Face Off 8'. The reason is that besides acting, the actors also need to know how to dance and sing. After the casting process, the actors had basic knowledge of dancing and singing, so we had to ask the choreographer to provide further guidance. They had to practice until they were proficient so that we wouldn't waste much time on set.”

"You guys had to practice your lines, act, sing, and dance, so it was much harder. At the same time, Ly Hai had to run back and forth, choosing locations and meticulously checking the progress of the actors' rehearsals and pre-production with all the actors. This was especially true for actors making their film debut. So the preparation this year was much more difficult than in previous years."

In addition, Ly Hai hopes this will continue to be a film that touches the hearts of viewers. He doesn't confine himself within certain limits but continues to challenge himself with new genres and a brand-new cast that has been carefully cast.

The filmmaker also expressed his gratitude to his wife, Minh Ha, for being a source of inspiration and support throughout his artistic journey.

Ly Hai revealed that this film doesn't follow a single genre like the previous installments, but is a blend of many elements, including family drama, action, humor, and music, which accounts for 30% of the film. He also shared that this project brings together a record-breaking cast.

"Face Off 8: Sunny Embrace" features a star-studded cast including: Meritorious Artist Kim Phuong, Meritorious Artist Huu Chau, Meritorious Artist Chieu Xuan, Quach Ngoc Tuyen, Long Dep Trai, Ngoc Tuong, Meritorious Artist Tuyet Thu, Ngan Quynh, rapper Yuno Bigboi, dancer Doan The Vinh, Ta Lam, Tin Nguyen, Ammy Minh Khue, Thuy Anh, child actress Bao Ngoc and Hong Thu…

Ly Hai is not pressured about box office revenue; he only hopes that each subsequent film will be more polished than the previous one and will be loved by the audience.

The film is scheduled to be released in theaters during the April 30th and May 1st holidays in 2025.
