Everton's first game since being docked 10 points for breaching financial regulations was met with a furious reaction at Goodison Park as thousands of home fans unfurled thousands of banners criticising the Premier League. But the game had only been played for three minutes when Garnacho opened the scoring for United, producing a sublime piece of skill to produce one of the Premier League's finest goals.

The 19-year-old Argentine pounced on Diogo Dalot's cross and fired into the top left corner, beating goalkeeper Jordan Pickford. Despite scoring early, the Red Devils' play was once again disjointed. However, Marcus Rashford's penalty and Anthony Martial's second-half strike ensured Erik ten Hag's side maintained their fine Premier League record - winning five of their last six games.
"It was a great goal. There are still many games left to play but Garnacho's goal was probably the goal of the season. We knew it would be difficult but we knew how to deal with that challenge," said coach Ten Hag after the match.
With this victory, MU climbed to 6th place on the rankings and is 6 points behind the leading team Arsenal.
Everton face difficulties after being deducted 10 points
Meanwhile, after two successful seasons of staying in the league, Sean Dyche’s team seemed to have escaped the difficulty thanks to their recent good form. But with the points deduction and loss to MU, they are now at the bottom of the table and 5 points away from the safe zone.
Elsewhere, Aston Villa moved up to fourth with a 2-1 win away at Tottenham. Unai Emery's side took the lead through Giovani Lo Celso, but Pau Torres and Watkins' 12th goal of the season sealed a dramatic comeback for Villa.
With this result, the away team has surpassed Spurs to take 4th place. Meanwhile, Tottenham of coach Ange Postecoglou is in 5th place after 3 consecutive defeats.
