24K.Right received the golden hat even before he started singing.
In episode 2 of Rap Viet season 3, 24k.Right had barely stepped onto the stage to greet the audience when he immediately received the first golden hat from coach BigDaddy, leaving the entire studio stunned.
Then, the remaining 3 coaches also threw their golden hats and fiercely competed for 24K.Right in their team. This was the first contestant to receive 4 golden hats, but BigDaddy's hat was no longer valid.
From the very first seconds of his rap performance, he thrilled the coaches, judges, and MC Tran Thanh with his confident style, catchy flow (rhythm and verse), and creative, witty lyrics that sounded like storytelling.
At the end of the performance, 24K.Right received an additional 99% of the audience votes.
24k.Right's performance left the coaches unable to sit still.
Commenting on the performance, Coach B Ray shared: “I feel there’s something about you that everyone has missed, and that is that you are a lyrical rapper. Through your performance, your storytelling art was excellent, and you developed it very logically. I think when you join my team, we can create many hit songs.”
Not to be outdone, coach Andree Right Hand immediately caused a stir in the audience by taking off his bejeweled bracelet and placing it on his favorite contestant's wrist, saying, "I see your wrist is still empty."
Ultimately, 24k.Right decided to approach each coach individually and finalize the deal to join B Ray's team.
Champion Quang Anh undergoes a transformation upon his comeback.
Episode 2 of Rap Viet Season 3 attracted much attention with the return of the winner of the first season of The Voice Kids Vietnam in 2013 - Nguyen Quang Anh.
Speaking about his reasons for joining the show, Quang Anh confided that after his success at the age of 12, he faced many setbacks, pressure, and even complete losses. He also went through a period of voice change and released several products but failed to regain his former glory. By joining Rap Viet, Quang Anh wants to challenge himself with a new path.
The winner of the first season of The Voice Kids Vietnam in 2013 surprised everyone with her transformation when participating in this new competition.
Returning to this stage, Quang Anh used the name Rhyder. He performed "Let Me Be Alone," a cover of the original "Let Me Leave You." The winner of The Voice Kids Vietnam showcased impressive melodic flow skills and auto-tune abilities.
At the end of his performance, Rhyder received 4 votes from 4 coaches and 93% of the audience vote. Known as the winner of The Voice Kids, Rhyder is a name highly regarded for his skills in this year's Rap Viet competition.
After some deliberation, the three judges conferred and decided to make Rhyder a member of coach Andree Right Hand's team.
MegaShock, the "speed demon," leaves many disappointed.
The appearance of rapper Alen (formerly known as Megashock) in episode 2 of Rap Viet season 3 brought many emotions.
He has always stood out in the underground community thanks to his exceptional fast-flow rapping skills. The rapper has even been dubbed the "speed demon" for his high-speed and fluid rapping style, comparable to the famous rapper Datmaniac.
Alen's elimination left all four coaches and three judges disappointed.
Alen performed the rap song "Against the Flow of Tears," inspired by the beat of "Suddenly Wanting to Cry." The rapper started quite smoothly, showcasing good skills, but Alen didn't receive the explosive reaction from the coaches and audience throughout the performance.
At the end of the performance, Judge JustaTee shared: "After this song becomes popular, Karik will be the one who regrets losing his coach seat the most."
Karik was impressed by Alen's performance and declared he would choose this contestant if he were still a coach. The judge said he regretted not being a coach right now.
Judge JustaTee believes that choosing a song and a performance space requires careful consideration.
"This is a great song, but performing it on a social media stage isn't necessarily the same as performing on a live stage. We should adapt to the live setting to deliver the best, capturing the hearts and emotions of everyone here," JustaTee advised Alen.
However, despite receiving effusive praise from the judges and coaches, Alen had to stop his journey with regret, receiving only 48% of the audience votes in the studio. According to this year's program rules, only contestants with more than 50% of the audience votes are allowed to advance.
Yuno BigBoi, who previously appeared on Rap Viet season 1, brought a bright energy and joined B Ray's team.
Episode 2 of Rap Viet Season 3 also features Yuno BigBoi and Dubbie, who is also known as Khuong Le (actor Le Huu Khuong).
At the end of episode 2, Coach Thai VG and BigDaddy's teams did not gain any new members. Coach Andree Right Hand acquired two contestants: Rhyder and Dubbie. B Ray "reaped" three new contestants: DT Tap Rap, Yuno BigBoi, and 24k.Right.
