The SOS Children's Village in Hai Phong (Dong Hai Ward) currently cares for and manages 121 abandoned, orphaned, and disadvantaged children from 14 families. Each family has a mother who directly cares for, raises, and manages 7 to 9 children. All of them attend public schools in the area.
In addition to their school time, the children participate in recreational activities and sports . Living and studying in a family-like environment helps children develop life skills and improve their physical and mental well-being. The children receive food three times a week and other necessities once a month from the city budget and social organizations. Weekly and monthly, many volunteer groups participate in providing free haircuts and organizing social gatherings with the children in the village. On every holiday and festival, the children get to enjoy many meaningful and enriching activities.
