Manchester City's new sponsorship deal with Puma is a major milestone in the club's commercial development strategy.

According to The Guardian , this is a record sponsorship deal in the history of English football. This new deal not only strengthens the club's financial position but also reflects the remarkable growth of the Manchester City brand in the global market, as they prepare for the 2025/26 season with great ambition.

Manchester City's sponsorship deal with Puma, which began in 2019 and was worth £65m a year, has been extended by a significant increase to £100m a year. The deal runs until 2032 and will see Manchester City overtake rivals Manchester United (£90m a year with Adidas) and Chelsea (£75m a year with Nike) as the club with the most valuable kit sponsorship deal in the Premier League.

In addition, sponsorship deals include performance-dependent bonuses, such as winning the Premier League or Champions League, which could push the total value to more than £110m a year.

This sponsorship deal will help Manchester City strengthen its financial resources to compete in the 2025 summer transfer window, as they are aiming for targets such as James Trafford (Burnley) or Diogo Costa (Porto).

According to Sport Business , Manchester City's commercial revenue has increased by 15% in 2024, largely thanks to major sponsorship deals and success at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. This sponsorship deal also helps Manchester City comply with UEFA and Premier League financial regulations, especially in the context that they have been investigated for violating Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations.
