Man Utd have announced Bruno Fernandes as their new captain from the 2023/24 season. Last season, the Portuguese midfielder was vice-captain and often held the armband when Harry Maguire was not on the pitch.
"Fernandes has scored 64 goals and contributed 54 assists in just 185 appearances for the club since joining in 2020. As captain and two-time Player of the Year, he will continue to drive the highest standards across the squad as we look to succeed in 2023/24 and beyond," Man Utd announced on their homepage.
