According to The Athletic, Man Utd's board of directors denied looking for a replacement for coach Erik ten Hag. The Old Trafford team emphasized that rumors about the plan to fire the Dutch coach were "completely false".

Previously, The Times revealed that Man Utd had contacted some names such as Ruben Amorim and Zinedine Zidane for the head coach position. However, the leadership of the Old Trafford team still kept faith in coach Erik ten Hag.
The Dutchman has signed a three-year contract with Man Utd. In his first season, he helped the Red Devils win the English League Cup and return to the UEFA Champions League thanks to a third-place finish in the Premier League.
