Bringing tens of millions of gems to the festival
The festival had the participation of 160 consulting booths from more than 60 colleges and universities. In addition to specialized consulting, many schools brought visual aids and creative models of students to the festival.
Attracting much attention was the "gem booth" of the University of Mining and Geology. Surprised to see the "pork belly" there, Hoang stopped, unable to hide his curiosity.
Introducing this product, Mr. Ha Thanh Nhu - a lecturer in the geology department of the University of Mining and Geology - said that the "piece of pork belly" is an original gemstone product that he collected. He shared that many students were curious when they saw it, not knowing whether it was for display or for sale.
"These are academic products, not retail goods on the market. These products are made from natural stones that have been processed. Many of them are precious stones and decorative stones that are processed by students of the school's geology department.
The products on display include many types of gemstones such as ruby, sapphire, emerald, agate, quartz... worth millions to tens of millions of dong," Mr. Nhu shared.
Mr. Nhu added that geology students will learn about the origin, formation conditions, distribution, processing technology and value of these rocks. Visual images of the subject will help candidates better understand what they will learn, as well as future career opportunities.
