Memorable moments on the first day of the new school year

On the morning of September 5, teachers and students across the country were excited about the first day of school. From the first graders to the 10th and 12th graders... there were memorable moments when they officially entered the new school year.

At Tran Phu High School ( Phu Tho Hoa Ward, Ho Chi Minh City), teachers and students entered the new school year 2025-2026 in a joyful atmosphere, filled with flags and flowers.

From early morning, the school yard was filled with the white of Ao Dai, student uniforms mixed with the red of the national flag and colorful balloons. The 10th graders attending the opening ceremony at their new school for the first time were excited and a little confused.

Khanh An (grade 10) shared: "This is the first time I have attended the opening ceremony at Tran Phu School, I feel both nervous and happy. I feel very lucky to study in a spacious school, with dedicated teachers and friendly friends, I will try to study well".

Meanwhile, at Chu Van An Primary School in Hanoi, first graders were both surprised and excited to attend the opening ceremony. They happily clapped their hands to the performances, while some looked lethargic because they were not used to waking up early...

At Tran Huy Lieu Secondary School (Duc Nhuan Ward, Ho Chi Minh City), more than 1,200 students and teachers attended the opening ceremony with homegrown performances, followed by a welcoming ceremony for 6th grade students. The students held bright national flags in their hands and walked together onto the stage to the welcome of the entire board of directors, homeroom teachers and seniors.

For grade 9 students, this year's opening ceremony was more emotional as it was the last time they could attend the opening ceremony at their beloved school. Tran Trinh Minh Nguyet (class 9A9) shared: "I feel very happy and proud to attend the opening ceremony for the whole country like this year, but I am also nervous because it is my last year at school. We told each other that this school year we will all try our best."
