Hundreds of Tet gifts were distributed to people in the border areas of Dak Lak province during the Lunar New Year season.
On January 18-19, 2025 (corresponding to the 19th and 20th days of the Lunar New Year of the Snake), in Krong Na border commune, the Se Re Pok Border Guard Station under the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command coordinated with the local Party Committee and authorities to organize the "Spring Border Guard Program: Warming the Hearts of the People" for the border residents.

Major Pham Van Thuc, Deputy Political Officer of the Se Re Pok Border Guard Post, shared: "Every Lunar New Year, the 'Border Guard Spring - Warming the Hearts of the People' program is organized by our unit in coordination with other organizations. The program not only provides material support to poor households in border areas but also demonstrates the affection and responsibility of border guards towards the ethnic minority communities. The activities in the program have contributed to strengthening the solidarity between the military and the people in the border region."
Within the framework of the program, the Organizing Committee awarded 14 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, to poor students with particularly difficult circumstances; 286 gifts, each worth 400,000 VND, to policy beneficiary families, families with meritorious service, and families in difficult circumstances; and 1,000 sticky rice cakes worth 35 million VND to the people in the commune.
In this program, Dai Doan Ket Newspaper is providing 50 gift packages, each worth 350,000 VND, including rice, instant noodles, fish sauce, cooking oil, MSG, and pastries, to 50 impoverished households with particularly difficult circumstances in the commune.
Previously, in Ia Lop border commune, Ea Sup district, Dai Doan Ket Newspaper donated 100 million VND to the family of Mr. Y Hon Nie, a poor household with particularly difficult housing circumstances in Krong Na border commune, Buon Don district, to build a Dai Doan Ket house.

In addition, the Se Re Pok Border Guard Station coordinated with the local Party Committee and government to organize cultural and artistic exchanges, bonfires, rice cake making competitions, tug-of-war, stick pushing, sack races, and free haircuts for the local people. These activities created a warm and friendly Tet atmosphere, reflecting the close bond between the military and the people.
Holding the gifts in her hands, Ms. Vu Thi Yen Ngoc from Buon Ea Rong B, Krong Na commune, Buon Don district, emotionally said: "We are very happy to receive gifts from the program organizers. We are very grateful to the organizers, the Border Guard, Dai Doan Ket Newspaper, and all the benefactors."

The "Spring Border Guard Program - Warming the Hearts of the People in the Villages 2025" in Krong Na commune left a deep impression on the local people. The radiant smiles and sparkling eyes of the villagers are clear evidence of the program's success. This also serves as motivation for the soldiers in green uniforms and philanthropists to continue their journey of bringing love to the ethnic minorities in the border region, thereby contributing to building a more prosperous and strong border area.
