Ms. Nguyen Thi Ut happily shared: “We are very happy to receive these gifts, and we also get to shop at the 'zero-cost' stall. The villagers feel very warmhearted. Not only do we have a more fulfilling Tet holiday, but we also receive free health check-ups and are cared for both materially and spiritually.”
The "zero-cost" stalls, offering essential items for Tet (Lunar New Year), attracted a large number of shoppers in a joyful atmosphere.
In addition to caring for people's material needs, the unit also coordinated the organization of free medical examinations, health consultations, and medication distribution for over 100 people. From early morning, the examination area attracted a large number of people, including many elderly people, women, and children. With a high sense of responsibility and a heart dedicated to serving the people, the medical staff diligently inquired about health, checked health, and advised on how to prevent common diseases, helping to alleviate the financial burden of medical expenses for poor and disadvantaged households.
The medical team diligently checked the health of the people, demonstrating the sense of responsibility and compassion of border guards towards the people.
Mr. Duong Van Khanh emotionally said: "We are truly touched to receive free medical check-ups, medicine, and Tet gifts from the border guards. Not only is it less worrying about medicine during Tet, but we also clearly feel the thoughtful care and concern of the soldiers on the border."
On this occasion, the Khanh Hoi Border Guard Station also presented over 160 Tet gifts from sponsors to policy beneficiary families; students in the "Helping Children Go to School - Children Adopted by Border Guard Stations" program and underprivileged students who have overcome difficulties, with a total value of over 80 million VND. The heartfelt sticky rice cakes, Tet gifts, "zero-cost" stalls, and the radiant smiles of the people warmed the spring atmosphere, deeply spreading the meaning of the Tet holiday between the military and the people in the coastal and island regions, contributing to strengthening the people's trust in the Party, the State, and the Border Guard forces, so that each spring truly becomes a spring of enduring solidarity.
