Masan joins hands with Manchester City, raising profit target to 6,500 billion VND

Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Masan Group - said that Masan's transformation journey sometimes makes outsiders feel confused. However, each change is aimed at meeting the great unsatisfied and ever-changing needs of consumers.

Masan Group has completed the first phase of its five-year journey to build an integrated consumer-retail platform. Moving into phase 2, Masan will focus on consolidating its spending market share and generating profits. According to him, the only way to realize this is digital transformation. This is the missing piece for Masan to rise from the image of a traditional corporation, erase the multi-industry stereotype and affirm its position as an integrated consumer experience platform, like Walmart, Amazon, Alibaba, Reliance or Apple.

According to Mr. Danny Le, CEO of Masan Group, Masan has delivered on its promise of impressive business results in 2024. At last year's General Meeting of Shareholders, the company committed to shareholders that Masan would return to profitable growth, and the company is proud to have done so in 2024. Masan Consumer recorded near double-digit growth in revenue and profit, while WinCommerce and Masan MeatLife both made profits. This proves that growth and profit can absolutely go hand in hand. The results of Q1/2025 further confirm the power of this transformation.

In 2025, Masan Gourp plans to achieve consolidated net revenue of VND80,500 - VND85,500 billion, an increase of 7 - 14% compared to the same period last year, after adjustment due to the discontinuation of consolidation with HC Starck Holding (Germany). After-tax profit is VND4,875 billion - VND6,500 billion, an increase of 14% - 52% compared to 2024.

Highlights include WinCommerce's network growth as it plans to expand its scale, aiming to reach more than 4,500 points of sale by the end of 2025, equivalent to opening 2 new stores every day. Or Masan Consumer continues to differentiate itself thanks to its breakthrough product development strategy. Notably, at this General Meeting of Shareholders, Mr. Truong Cong Thang - General Director of Masan Consumer - announced that the co-branded product between Wake-Up 247 and Man City will be printed with the club's badge and images of stars such as Erling Haaland, Jack Grealish and Phil Foden. The product is expected to launch in Vietnam today. Previously, Manchester City announced that Wake-Up 247 - an energy drink brand under Masan Consumer - would become its official energy drink partner in Vietnam.

Despite having just experienced a prosperous business year in 2024, Masan's Board of Directors still proposed not to pay dividends for 2024. The Group also continues to maintain the policy of not paying remuneration to board members in 2025...
