Samsung W series smartphones are known to be exclusive to China. The product is a collaboration between Samsung and China Teleco to launch premium rebranded versions of the latest Galaxy Z series devices. In 2023, the brand launched the Samsung W24 and W24 Flip - rebranded versions of the Z Fold5 and Z Flip5.

Samsung is reportedly considering using titanium for the back of the Galaxy Z Fold6 Slim. The back is an important foldable part because it supports the foldable display and hinge. Currently, Samsung uses carbon fiber reinforced plastic for this part on all Z Fold models.

With the new Z Fold6 Slim, switching to a titanium back could make the device lighter and easier to carry. It is known that titanium can affect the digitizer that allows the stylus to function properly, which is probably why Samsung did not use titanium for previous Z Fold models.

The product is expected to be released around October to December this year and will likely only be sold in China and Korea.
