The aviation incident occurred on the afternoon of July 3rd at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Ho Chi Minh City.
Accordingly, Boeing 777 aircraft EVA396, scheduled to depart at 4:34 PM on the same day from Tan Son Nhat Airport to Taiwan (China), crashed into a lighting pole while moving onto the runway at Tan Son Nhat Airport in preparation for takeoff.
The incident caused a section of the aircraft's wing to be dented and a streetlight pole to collapse.

Immediately afterwards, Tan Son Nhat International Airport and related units quickly coordinated to handle the situation. Fortunately, all passengers on the plane were safe.
The Southern Aviation Authority has also acknowledged the incident and promptly reported it to the Vietnam Civil Aviation Authority.
The cause of the incident is still being investigated.
