MC Hai Trieu reveals the pressure of directing Miss Ocean Vietnam

The Miss Ocean Vietnam finale recently held in Vinh Hy (Khanh Hoa) has attracted the attention of many audiences who love beauty contests. Not only was the competition between the top 30 candidates exciting, the night also impressed with the outstanding performances, directed by general director Hai Trieu.

Starting out as an MC, working in the field of education and writing books, Hai Trieu surprised everyone when he was assigned the role of general director of a major program. However, audiences who have followed his career journey know that the male MC previously took on this role at the World Tourism Mister 2025 contest.

From the experience gained, Hai Trieu brought an impressive beauty contest night, not only a place for the girls to express themselves but also an opportunity to promote the beauty of Vinh Hy land.

Sharing about this responsibility, Hai Trieu said he felt very happy to once again return to Vinh Hy - the place that hosted the World Tourism King and continue to be assigned the role of general director. However, this time, the competition was organized on a larger stage scale, so it also brought a lot of pressure, requiring him to try very hard to overcome people's prejudices about an MC working as a director.

“Along with the pride comes the pressure that I have to overcome. The biggest difficulty is how to operate the small teams properly, from the makeup team, contestant management, choosing accommodation locations... Everything must create a connection with the stage to create an impressive overall program, bringing youthful impressions to the contestants and a beautiful memory for the people living in Vinh Hy”, Hai Trieu confided.

Until now, he still cannot help but feel emotional when recalling the “heart-stopping” memory before the final round of the competition. That was when Hai Trieu and his team heard about storm number 8 making landfall in the East Sea.

“At that time, we told each other to stay calm, prepare backup plans to ensure the performances of the contestants and guest singers and avoid affecting the audience's viewing experience. I also prepared many flycam segments to show off the most beautiful images of Vinh Vy, so that if we encountered the worst situation, we would still have footage to promote this land,” he shared.

Until the contest found the new beauty queen, Hai Trieu could not hide his emotions. Although the past journey had many challenges, the goals he set for himself as the general director had been completely completed. “This contest is like a graduation for me,” he said.

According to Hai Trieu, ensuring the professionalism of the competition is what he is most passionate about. During the past time, he, the contestants and the crew had to practice thoroughly to bring shining moments on stage. The general director also ensured the footage so that the audience watching the livestream could follow the contestants' journey as well as emphasize the meaning of the competition.

He shared: “We promote the value of the contestants, besides promoting Vinh Hy tourism in particular, Vietnam tourism in general, thereby conveying the message: Honoring and protecting the marine environment”.

The Miss Ocean Vietnam 2025 contest not only honors the beauty, intelligence and talent of Vietnamese women but also promotes the responsibility of protecting the marine and island environment.

Beating 29 competitors, beauty Nguyen Thanh Thao won the final victory. The first, second, third and fourth runner-up positions were respectively given to the girls: Pham Thi Phuong Vi, Nguyen Ngoc Huyen Tram, Nguyen Thi Diem Chau and Nguyen Thi Khanh Huyen.
