The "Miss Cat" pet contest, held in Hanoi, attracted many cats worth hundreds of millions of dong.

The pet contest to find the cat beauty queen will take place from May 15-17 at AEON Mall Ha Dong, Hanoi . The International Family Cat Show 2026, themed "A Sunny Morning," is organized by the Vietnam Animal Protection Association and the Vietnam Cat Association.

The Miss Cat contest attracted 80 "cat contestants" from Vietnam, Thailand, China, Malaysia, and the Philippines. Among them were many contestants of world- renowned cat breeds such as Maine Coon, Bengal, Ragdoll, British Shorthair, American Shorthair, Cornish Rex, Siberian, and Selkirk Rex Longhair.

According to the owner, Cupido preferred sleeping to competing, and the Thai contestants were showing a clear advantage in the competition.
