According to the Traffic Police Department, due to the rain and storm situation having decreased, from 5:30 this morning (August 26), the Traffic Police Department opened the North-South expressway section through the provinces from Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh .

Traffic police forces continue to be on duty on the route to support people to travel smoothly and safely. Due to the impact of storm No. 5 Kajiki, the Traffic Police Department has issued a notice prohibiting all vehicles from traveling on the North-South Expressway section through Nghe An province from 1:30 p.m. on August 25, to ensure the safety of people and vehicles. At the same time, it is recommended that traffic participants proactively find suitable routes and parking areas to ensure safety and strictly comply with the orders and instructions of the authorities.

According to the 5 a.m. bulletin of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, due to the influence of storm No. 5, at Bach Long Vi station (Hai Phong) there are strong winds of level 7, gusting to level 9; Co To station (Quang Ninh) there are strong winds of level 7, gusting to level 10; Hon Ngu station (Nghe An) there are strong winds of level 8, gusting to level 11.

Coastal areas of provinces from Quang Ninh to Thanh Hoa have strong winds of level 6-8, gusting to level 9. Nghe An - Ha Tinh area has strong winds of level 8-10, gusting to level 12-15 such as: Dien Chau station (Nghe An) has strong winds of level 10, gusting to level 12; Do Luong station has gusting to level 15; Vinh station has gusting to level 12; Ky Anh station (Ha Tinh) has strong winds of level 8, gusting to level 11; Cam Nhuong station (Ha Tinh) has strong winds of level 10, gusting to level 13...

Storm surge in Sam Son (Thanh Hoa) 1.01m, Hon Ngu (Nghe An) 1.66m, Vung Ang (Ha Tinh) 0.51m.

In the Northern Delta provinces, from Thanh Hoa to Quang Tri, there has been moderate to heavy rain, and in some places very heavy rain over 600mm.

Early morning of August 26, storm No. 5 moved to Central Laos and weakened into a tropical depression.
