Expanding development space, attracting investment capital

Dak Lak province is entering a new stage of development with outstanding stature and position. The convergence of potential, resources and open development space is creating opportunities for Dak Lak to become a dynamic growth pole of the South Central Coast and Central Highlands.

Dak Lak belongs to the South Central Coast and Central Highlands regions, convenient for domestic trade and expanding international cooperation through the East-West economic corridor.

With an area of ​​over 18,000 km², of which agricultural land is over 1.08 million hectares, the province has advantages in developing key industrial crops such as coffee, rubber, pepper, durian, creating a solid foundation for commodity agriculture, processing and export.

The province's transport infrastructure system is being invested in synchronously and modernly. The connection is strongly enhanced through key strategic projects. These include: Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway, the North - South Eastern Expressway along with Buon Ma Thuot Airport, Tuy Hoa Airport, Vung Ro and Bai Goc seaports. These projects are opening up great opportunities for trade and development of logistics industry, tourism and seaport services.

In addition to its infrastructure advantages, Dak Lak province also possesses rich and unique tourism potential, with a system of lakes, waterfalls, and primeval forests of pristine and majestic beauty. The province is also the cradle of the Central Highlands Gong Cultural Space and the Bai Choi Art - two intangible cultural heritages recognized by UNESCO, creating an important foundation for the development of high-quality ecological, cultural and resort tourism.

With a young and abundant human resource, an increasingly open investment environment and advantages in developing renewable energy, Dak Lak is affirming its position as a land rich in potential, ready to welcome and accompany domestic and foreign investors.

Based on its existing potential and advantages, Dak Lak province will focus on attracting investment in four key areas. Firstly, in terms of agriculture, the province prioritizes the development of large-scale agriculture, organic agriculture, and high-tech application; linking production with processing, preservation and consumption according to the value chain. Along with that, it is necessary to develop concentrated, modern and bio-safe livestock farming areas; strengthen forest protection and development, and increase forest cover.

Second, in terms of industry, Dak Lak focuses on advantageous industries such as: deep processing industry, renewable energy, mechanical engineering serving production, agricultural and livestock processing, associated with promoting research and application of science and technology.

Third, regarding construction, the province encourages investment in synchronous infrastructure in economic zones, high-tech agricultural zones, industrial zones and clusters; especially focusing on centralized wastewater treatment projects that meet environmental standards.

Fourth, in terms of trade and services, Dak Lak aims to develop modern trade centers, supermarkets, and markets; promote high value-added service industries such as eco-tourism, sea tourism, finance - banking, insurance, transportation, logistics, education, healthcare, science and technology, etc.

These fields are considered important driving forces to promote sustainable economic growth, enhance competitiveness and strongly attract investors to Dak Lak province.

In the coming time, Dak Lak province is determined to maximize its potential and take advantage of development opportunities by focusing on completing a synchronous and modern infrastructure system, creating a solid foundation to attract large-scale investment projects.

The province focuses on effectively implementing national, regional and provincial planning; updating new orientations and policies of the Central Government and international economic development trends to shape infrastructure development strategies suitable to the new context.

At the same time, Dak Lak province also mobilized diverse investment capital sources, prioritizing strategic transport infrastructure such as: Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway; National Highways 26, 27, 29, 14C; Truong Son Dong Road; coastal route; ICD dry port and upgrading Buon Ma Thuot Airport.

The province also pays special attention to site clearance, ensuring clean land for investors, especially large-scale agricultural and forestry projects. Along with that, the locality will propose the Central Government to remove the mechanism for using depleted forest land to develop afforestation, industrial crops and concentrated livestock farming.

With these synchronous and drastic solutions, Dak Lak hopes to create a breakthrough in infrastructure, expand development space, improve competitiveness, and become an attractive destination for domestic and foreign investors.
