Tay Ninh leads the Southeast in economic growth

On October 7, at a press conference on the socio-economic situation in the third quarter and key tasks in the fourth quarter of 2025, Mr. Vo Thanh Tri, Chief of Office of the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee, said that the province's economic growth rate (GRDP) was estimated at 9.52% in the first 9 months of the year. This result helped Tay Ninh lead the Southeast region, higher than Ho Chi Minh City (7.07%) and Dong Nai (8.86%), and ranked 8th out of 34 provinces and cities nationwide.

According to the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province, in the growth structure, the agriculture - forestry - fishery sector increased by 4.33%; industry - construction increased by 12.76% (industry alone increased by 13.19%); trade - services increased by 8.07%; product tax minus product subsidies increased by 7.19%.

The province's industrial production index (IIP) also increased by 13.44% over the same period.

Regarding investment attraction, in the first 9 months of the year, Tay Ninh established 3,211 new enterprises, an increase of 51% with a total capital of more than 22,300 billion VND (an increase of 98%).

The province has also granted 130 new domestic investment projects with a total registered capital of nearly 31,000 billion VND and 157 FDI projects with a total registered capital of more than 815 million USD. Up to now, Tay Ninh has 1,928 valid FDI projects, with a total registered capital of 24.4 billion USD.

The disbursement of public investment capital has been directed resolutely. By October 1, the province had disbursed VND9,732 billion, reaching more than 60% of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister . For national target programs, the province has disbursed more than VND211 billion, reaching 59.98% of the plan.

Besides, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hai Nam, Deputy Chief of Staff of Tay Ninh Provincial Police, said that the crime situation related to social order in the first 9 months of the year decreased by 27.52% compared to the same period.

The provincial police are always proactive and transparent in providing information, and at the same time request the press to ensure humanity when reporting news, and not to describe in detail methods and tricks of crime to avoid subjects taking advantage.

Mr. Vo Thanh Tri emphasized that in the last 3 months of the year, Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee will continue to strive to achieve an economic growth rate of 10 - 11% in 2025 and complete the adjustment of the Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050.
