According to Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Pham Duc Long, VTC Corporation can participate in supporting digital transformation for 5 million business households and 1 million small and medium enterprises.
On the morning of January 17, Multimedia Communications Corporation (VTC) held a conference to review the work in 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025.
According to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Bao, General Director of VTC, in 2024, the Corporation's revenue will complete 102.9% of the plan, an increase of 2.7% compared to 2023, and profit will complete 119.8%, an increase of 18.4% compared to 2023.
VTC Corporation's revenue structure mainly comes from the game sector, payment intermediary, television and media services. There are also revenue sources from new sectors such as digital transformation and digital training.
The average number of employees of the whole Corporation is 868 people, an increase of 7.8%. The average salary of VTC employees is 23.8 million VND, an increase of 19.6% compared to 2023. Labor productivity at the Corporation is 304.8 million VND/person/year.
Sharing about the business orientation for 2025, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Bao said that VTC will improve the efficiency of the game sector, focus resources on new business sectors, and at the same time review and cut some ineffective business sectors. VTC Corporation sets a revenue target of 1,800 billion VND in 2025, an increase of 7.8% compared to 2024.
At the Conference, representatives of member units of VTC Corporation also presented a number of new products and services such as VTC Pos sales management software, VTC DigitalEducation and Training Institute and AI virtual assistant developed by this unit.
Congratulating the results that VTC Corporation achieved in 2024, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Pham Duc Long acknowledged that VTC had achieved good results, growing in both revenue and profit in the context of many general difficulties and challenges.
“ VTC Corporation started from television, then switched to making games, and then opened up new spaces for IT, digital technology , and digital education and training. Fortunately, we have grown and taken care of our workers. Some new spaces have also been opened, and there has been development, ” said Deputy Minister Pham Duc Long.
At the Conference, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Pham Duc Long also shared many important orientations for the development of VTC Corporation in 2025 and the coming years.
According to Deputy Minister Pham Duc Long, VTC is determining what it can do to participate in the implementation of Resolution 57 of the Politburo on scientific and technological breakthroughs, innovation and digital transformation.
The Deputy Minister proposed that VTC Corporation participate in the "popular digital education" movement, thereby playing a role in building free mass training platforms, contributing to improving digital skills for people.
To do digital transformation, digital infrastructure must be strong. The Deputy Minister recommended that VTC seek partners who can cooperate long-term on infrastructure issues, in order to meet future development needs.
Regarding the gaming sector, Deputy Minister Pham Duc Long suggested that VTC carefully research the market, especially international experiences, in order to have appropriate development orientations.
Vietnam currently has 1 million small and medium enterprises and about 5 million business households. Many businesses want to transform digitally but do not know how. VTC Corporation can participate in this market segment, supporting digital transformation for millions of business households as well as small and medium enterprises.
Regarding virtual assistants, the Deputy Minister suggested that VTC should choose the right steps, focusing on applying and promoting Vietnamese knowledge of units and organizations so that virtual assistants can create value.
Listening to the directions and instructions of Deputy Minister Pham Duc Long, Mr. Chu Tien Dat, Chairman of the Board of Members of VTC Corporation said that this will be the "compass" for the business's operations in the coming time.
“ VTC will study and incorporate the spirit of Resolution 57 into the development picture, promote structural transformation, prepare digital infrastructure, adhere to the orientation of digital training, and build an excellent foundation in the direction of fast, wide, cheap, with coverage and spread ”, affirmed the Chairman of the Board of Members of VTC Corporation.
