Previously, Ms. Yen also had a small family with two children and a diligent, gentle husband. She and her husband worked hard to build their happy family. Ironically, an incident happened, Ms. Yen's husband unfortunately became seriously ill and passed away.

She became the main breadwinner of the family but had no stable job or income, while her health was poor. Notably, in addition to the money she had saved for many years, she had to borrow money to pay for her husband's medical treatment, so she fell into debt when he passed away.

“My husband died after 2 years of illness. I was shocked and in pain, but I had to try to make ends meet because I still had 2 young children. All the worries kept piling up, from food, clothing to medical expenses when the children were sick... so I did whatever anyone hired me to do, as long as I had money to take care of the children. Of which, the cost of sending them to school was my biggest worry...”, Ms. Yen confided.

More pitifully, Ms. Yen’s two children, Pham Gia Bao (grade 9) and Pham Thi Ha Trang (grade 5), are not as smart as their peers. Therefore, Ms. Yen has to find jobs near home to take care of and educate her two children, although these jobs are unstable and the income is not worth much.

Since her father passed away, the family has lost all laughter and voices. After much questioning, Ha Trang finally said softly: “I miss my father so much! I also feel sorry for my mother because I see her suffering…”

Ms. Yen confided: "When I think about the difficult days that my family is going through, I just hope that my children will be able to go to school, get a good education, and become useful people for their family and society in the future."

Teacher Chu Duc Canh, Vice Principal of Quang Chau Primary School No. 2, Hoa Trach Commune, said that the school has called on teachers and students to join hands to help Ha Trang with textbooks, notebooks and school supplies so that she can go to school with peace of mind and share the difficulties with Yen's family.

In difficult times, the village and neighborhood ties grew even stronger. Everyone sympathized with the situation of Ms. Yen and her children, so they proactively helped with vegetables, rice, etc. One day, they even picked up her children to eat together when Ms. Yen was working and had not returned home in time for school.

Through the discussion, Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Hoa Trach Commune Dang Thi Bich Thao said: "Knowing the circumstances of Ms. Yen's family, the women in the association often visit, encourage and provide practical support. Thereby, adding motivation for the mother and her three children to overcome difficult circumstances in life."

In addition to the attention and spiritual and material support from the local government, the school and the neighbors, recently, a representative of Huda Beer brand visited and supported Ms. Yen and her three children with 5 million VND. The gift, although small, has great spiritual significance, helping her family have the funds to prepare for the children for the new school year 2025-2026.

At the same time, spread the mobilization and connection of units and individuals to accompany, support, and bring love to orphaned children and children in difficult circumstances, helping them have more motivation to strive for a brighter future.

Hopefully, with the love and cooperation of the community, every small sharing will be a ray of light that lights up the future for the two children, and is the motivation for the single mother to continue to carry on without being alone.
